Global law firm Baker & McKenzie hired senior in-house lawyer David Watson for its Sydney office. He is joining as corporate lawyer. He was associated with US candy giant Mars, Inc. as regional general counsel. Watson worked at Mars for 8 years and spent his valuable time in the company's Sydney, London, and Dubai offices. During his tenure with Mars, in 2008 he advised the company on its $23 billion acquisition of Chicago-based chewing gum maker Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. He also handled the company's Asia recall of its Pedigree dog food brand, in 2004. Watson was associated as corporate partner with Minter Ellison
