Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings in court and before government agencies.
  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal problems and develop litigation strategies.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
  • Handle case management duties, including deadlines and prioritizing key tasks.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Participate actively in trials and hearings.
  • Engage in continuous legal education and stay up-to-date with modifications in legal guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • Must possess a law degree from a top 20 law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials and proven writing skills.
  • 1-6 years of experience in litigation.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited top 20 law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
