A law firm in Summerville, SC, is actively seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a diverse caseload of auto accidents and other personal injury cases. The successful candidate will have autonomy over their own team, craft litigation strategies, and handle all phases of trial preparation and execution while ensuring excellent client interaction. Job Duties:

  • Manage a comprehensive caseload of personal injury claims, particularly auto accidents.
  • Evaluate potential new cases and meet with prospective clients.
  • Oversee the pre-litigation workup of cases and conduct all phases of discovery.
  • Create detailed litigation plans and execute them through settlement negotiations and trials.
  • File complaints, motions, and other court pleadings.
  • Conduct depositions, trials, and other necessary court appearances.
  • Oversee the disbursement of recoveries and maintain detailed records.
  • Manage and lead a dedicated team, performing administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
  • Maintain excellent relations and communication with all clients, ensuring their needs are met, and they are regularly updated on case progress.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
  • Bar admission in Georgia and/or North Carolina is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Experience in negotiating settlements and trying cases to juries.
  • Highly trainable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Fluent Spanish language skills are a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Current bar membership in South Carolina.
  • Bar admissions in neighboring states (Georgia and North Carolina) are preferred.
