I appreciated the online portal. I worked with other recruiters and a lot of communication was done over email, including gathering a list of firms that I wanted to apply to. I appreciate that BCG had an official portal that I could clearly what was submitted, the date, and the result - that is one of the main things that stuck out to me.

[BCG] provided opportunities that I would not have found out about. I was looking in a completely new market that I had no connections or experience with. The firm I am going to, I had never heard of them before and in doing my own research prior to working with Annie they weren't popping up on any of the lists that I was pulling. Most of the firms that she did send me, weren't popping up either. If it weren't for working with Annie, I probably wouldn't have landed this specific position.
Q.Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

A.I worked with another company in Atlanta, it was a little bit smaller. In terms of communication and following up and helping me with interviews, I would say it was pretty on par. The only difference with BCG and the other firm is that your firm has more online structure as opposed to working with a smaller recruiter, we communicated a lot via email re: the results of firms. The experience was great for me on both ends. I really appreciated working with a small recruiter as well as with BCG and Annie.

I'd say right from the get-go you guys were very detail-oriented, really focused on my particular profile and helped me build my skills and draft my resume in a way that will be good for me. We started working just a year ago. Throughout the year, I was always contacted by the team that had placements to offer, and you kept on searching and a year after we started working together, it all panned out. It's been great.

I think it made it significantly easier in that instead of me having to look for the positions that would be a match for my profile, which is very time consuming, even though you may have LinkedIn or other services that help you, it's just time consuming and frustrating because you work on it so hard and then it's not always good news after you present your credentials. Having that done for me made the process significantly easier on my schedule and allowed me to focus on my current work and my academic activities instead of dedicating a couple hours every day or every week to do a job search.

I think, hands down, the best. Absolutely, the best. The first conversations that we've had, your team always read my curriculum before having the conversation with me. They did research on my profile, and what was I good at, and my publications. They knew all of that before talking to me, so they were able to keep the conversation very on point, very productive, because they already knew what my profile was. That's something that nobody else did for me. It's been great, really, absolutely great.

I was really impressed by the initial screening and all of the effort that BCG puts into getting to know the candidate, all of the information that is requested, and just the fact that you would want to get all of that right up front to make sure you have the full picture was a good indicator right off the bat. It indicated that you took your candidate seriously and really wanted to find a firm that was a good fit rather than just something that would be an easy contract. Karen herself was really lovely. She was very responsive and incredibly friendly to work with and a very good listener. She was very proactive without being pushy, which is a tough line to straddle, and she did it very successfully. She was excellent. I kept my own internal spreadsheet of where we had applied and what was going on, and just knowing that, especially with my non-conventional resume, I had someone who was presenting me in a very professional way, someone who was experienced at packaging a candidate rather than, from my perspective just sending my weird resume without context was challenging I think.
