The firm was founded in 1972 by Jim Polsinelli and his colleagues in a small office in the historic Country Club Plaza District in Kansas City, Missouri. Since then, the firm has seen impressive growth over its 40+ year history, with expanding practice areas and office additions, most recently in Miami. This expansion is part of Polsinelli's strategic plan to better serve the increasing needs of the firm's clients.By understanding and aligning their services to their clients' business goals, Polsinelli is able to attract experienced attorneys from across the country who are seeking a platform best suited to their clients' priorities. Furthermore, due to the firm's concentration of presence in lower-overhead markets, it is able to offer more comprehensive services than local or regional firms and more competitive overall costs than national firms concentrated in higher cost markets.

Polsinelli was founded in 1972 as a three-attorney law firm in Kansas City, Missouri, and this client service philosophy has fueled its growth. In October 2013, Polsinelli moved its national headquarters to a newly built location to support the attorneys in the Kansas City area and a National Service Center with administrative functions that serve our attorneys and clients across the country. Clients across the nation benefit from the firm's central location with our national headquarters in Kansas City, bolstered by additional strategically-located offices across the country to support our clients' needs. Our attorneys collaborate across state lines to provide clients with the deep experience of our national practices, and maintain our balanced cost structure.
