Ogletree Deakins
Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Carly Grey as a shareholder in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. Grey joins Ogletree Deakins after more than a decade with Morgan Lewis, most recently as a partner.

Grey has spent more than 15 years counseling employers, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small nonprofits, on a full spectrum of employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Her experience includes providing practical advice regarding executive and deferred compensation arrangements, equity and incentive plans, retirement plans, health and welfare plans, public company reporting, compensation governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Grey also handles complex legal issues arising under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, and COBRA, and has been published in several leading legal publications.

“Carly has spent her entire legal career exclusively practicing executive compensation and benefits law, making her uniquely equipped to navigate the nuances of these often complicated matters that we regularly see in our practice,” said Stephanie Smithey and John Morrison, co-chairs of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group. “Her wealth of knowledge and experience significantly enhances the depth of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. We’re excited to have Carly join us and look forward to working with her.”

Grey has served as a pro bono attorney volunteer for the D.C. Bar Community Economic Development Project since 2008. She earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, with honors, and her B.A., cum laude, from John Carroll University.
