Bankruptcy Attorney Joins Arnold & Porter
Summary: Arnold & Porter welcomed a new partner to their bankruptcy and restructuring practice in Chicago and New York.
Arnold & Porter announced the addition of Brian J. Lohan to their firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice. Lohan will be a partner in the group, working out of the Chicago and New York offices.
Lohan will focus his practice on corporate reorganizations, insolvency, and bankruptcy. He has handled a range of bankruptcy cases, including representation of Chapter 11 debtors, noteholders, bondholders, senior lenders, and other creditor constituencies. These cases have involved a number of high-profile restructurings in several industries such as telecommunications, technology, and transportation.
“We are excited to welcome Brian to our Bankruptcy team,” said Michael L. Bernstein, head of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice. “He is a skilled and entrepreneurial lawyer with considerable experience handling all facets of bankruptcy and restructuring. His arrival further strengthens our capabilities for clients, particularly those facing challenging restructuring concerns.”
Lohan has been received several awards for his work. Just last year, Lohan was honored by the American Bankruptcy Institute in their “40 under 40” list. The list recognizes insolvency, bankruptcy and restructuring professionals across the globe. He was also awarded the International Law Office 2018 Client Choice Award for “excellent client care.”
Lohan earned his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law and his B.S. from DePaul University.
