Miles & Stockbridge Adds Corporate Lawyer Swata Gandhi as Counsel
Miles & Stockbridge announced today that Swata Gandhi, a highly regarded corporate lawyer, has joined the Baltimore office of Miles & Stockbridge as counsel in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group.
Gandhi focuses her practice on general business and commercial law and brings deep experience in mergers, acquisitions and other significant transactions, including the purchase and sale of assets and businesses and commercial finance. She has served as outside in-house counsel for numerous companies and led legal teams in the manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, software, sustainable energy and online education industries.

Gandhi joins Miles & Stockbridge from Saul Ewing Ernstein & Lehr, where she was counsel in the Baltimore office. Before joining the firm, she served as vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer for a leading manufacturer of home repair products. She led the company’s legal, environmental and regulatory functions, and she re-imagined and modernized the company’s in-house legal department.
She is very involved in the community. She serves on the boards of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland, the Center for Urban Families, and MedStar Harbor Hospital. She has been recognized with The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law and Top 100 Women awards and the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s Distinguished Women’s Award, among other honors.
She is a magna cum laude graduate from American University, Washington College of Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Villanova University and her master’s degree from American University.
