Becca was very responsive to emails. I felt like I wasn't being pushed in terms of making a decision one way or another. I generally like the interface with being able to see the status of everything and a list of where all of my applications were under one room as opposed to everything being all over the place.

Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

A. I would say near the top in terms of responsiveness and being very up to date with everything.

I thought that because BCG was a larger recruiting firm that service would not be as personable--I was so very wrong and am SO glad I gave BCG a chance. Becca Levine was so great. It was easy and pleasurable to work with her and she was so responsive--I felt like I was her only client.I simply would not have the job I do today [if not for BCG]. I had worked with other recruiters for 6+ months before working with BCG and accepted my current position within about a month after working with Becca.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are effective, personable, and diligent.I would rank you at the very top [compared to other recruiting companies]. What were some of my favorite things about working with BCG? One would be my recruiter Becca. I think she was honestly the best thing. I enjoyed the report that I got every week. For me, Becca made the experience. That's all I can really say. She was really responsive and always very positive. I also enjoyed getting the reports that let me know what was happening and what wasn't happening, who passed on me, who was interviewing me, [and] who was still sitting on my application. That was very useful and I enjoyed all that. But honestly I just liked my recruiter, a ton, from the beginning to the end. I think I may have gotten really lucky. How did working with BCG make my job search easier? To be honest you all did most of the work, I just went to the interviews when they came. One thing I did like is that I would get a pool of things that were available. I'm barred in a few states so it's kind of hard for me to search for a job in three different places. Also, Becca was able to let me know what was available in the three states I was interested in going to. From the firms that she found I was able to go to their websites and see what the department looked like and whether or not I really wanted to pursue any of those that were available. I think when you have three memberships in different states, that [using BCG] makes it a whole lot easier.The first three words that come to mind when I think about BCG are Becca, surprised, and success. I would say surprised because I learned much more about the company afterwards, so I was kind of nervous about being a part of it, but I thought it was pretty good. I would say success because I did get a job pretty quickly. I think it was six weeks. I worked with one other [recruiting firm] before and I have friends that have worked with them. Out of the ones that I have worked with personally you all were way better. I feel like I got more. At the other place if I contacted somebody I may not get a response all the time. [With] Becca, she was texting me and calling me [to keep me updated]. Anytime I would send something to her I would get a response within [about] an hour. Also, sometimes people don't like to give you bad news if you ask about it, but Becca was always open to letting me know what was going on. It seems like we were in the process together, which is very nice. If I were describing you to one of my peers I would say BCG is very professional and very efficient. You know that report you send every week? I received my report every Friday and it gave me some insight to what was going on. The other company I worked with didn't do that. I would say [you are] very efficient, and very up-to-date about what's going on. It's not like this process where you don't know what the recruiters [are] doing. I kind of had an idea of what Becca was doing. That made me feel a lot more comfortable because I felt like progress was being made. Even if I was getting denied or passed by, I still knew that my application was [getting sent] out [to] different places every week or that I was applying for one or two things every week. I guess that's the biggest thing. Becca was great. She was really responsive, and the reports just let me feel a little bit more at ease with what you all were doing and the places I was applying to. I was moving forward.

What where some of your favorite things about working with BCG and Becca?

How quickly everything went! I worked with a few other recruiters in the past and I didn't get very much traction. I had 1 or 2 interviews but I didn't really feel like I had any chance going in. Becca got me very very prepared for every question posed to me. I felt thoroughly prepared for each of my interviews.

How did working with us make you job search easier?

The network that BCG has. I had been searching pretty passively prior to being contacted by Becca. It is hard to find jobs in the legal field and you're on LinkedIn or wherever but it's still not a big network to get into. However with BCG, Becca was able to get me, I think, 3 interviews in the first week of working with her. Like I said, she also did a phenomenal job about getting me prepared for said interviews as opposed to the other recruiters I worked with. [With them] I felt like I was going into those interviews feeling okay but I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was and I didn't get a call back.

Anything else?

I really appreciated all of the work Becca did and she was always very easy to get in contact with. I enjoyed working with her so much that I have actually already referred 2 of my friends. Like I said, I have worked with a few other people [recruiting firms] and no one was able to get me results nearly as quickly so I am confident she will be able to help them like she was able to help me.

I worked with Becca primarily, but there were other recruiters involved who were very good. I think the best thing that they did that I noticed was different from other recruiters that I've worked with in the past is the strategic approach they took to send the applications in [and] send resumes in to a large number of places. I thought that made a lot of sense and it worked out really well. And they were great to work with. For me, it turned out I was kind of an unusual candidate. It turned out to be a very quick process...I wasn't expecting that. I think part of that was just because of the strategy of applying widely. I thought that was great. [When I think of BCG] honestly the first word that comes to mind is Harrison Barnes. [He is] one of the reasons I liked BCG before I got involved with you guys. He is kind of well-known in the law community. I've always liked his articles...there were one or two in particular that I had read, I think about getting back into big law after a leave that I think were very good and well put together...it kind of put me over the edge...that's what made me decide to reach out. I do have another recruiting friend. I think it's notable that I didn't go with his company for this. I've got another recruiter that I've worked with and they have even placed me in the past and I didn't go with them. I put you guys ahead of them in terms of just getting the job done. I would describe you guys as being very efficient [and] very focused on the end result, which is great. Again, I think the whole approach from the beginning was [to] get the best results in the most efficient way. I think that that's the right approach.

[My favorite thing about working with BCG was the] responsiveness of the person who was working with me. It's another resource. I am still doing everything else on LinkedIn and using other resources. But it's an additional resource that's able to reach out to companies on my behalf, perhaps in a way that I couldn't, with more formality. [The first words that come to mind when I think of BCG Attorney Search are] helpful [and] resource.

I think more than anything else, I really appreciated that it was effective. A couple of the factors that I appreciated were the transparent communication was great, being kept up on the status of things. Initial expectation management, a layout of what I could expect in terms of how long it would take for the firms to be responsive and what I might expect when they did respond. Having only done a job search with you guys, I don't know how it would have gone if I hadn't used you guys, but I can affirmatively say that having worked with BCG that it was effective and I didn't have to put active energy into it beyond clicking yes or no to submit to firms, based on the updated links that I was given, so from that aspect it was fairly time effective. A couple of other recruiters reached out to me while I was working with Becca, but also it was a matter of the fact that Becca had a fairly large portfolio of possible client's that she could recommend me to that she had worked with before which was more attractive than the others who would only provide on occasion, smaller firms. Having worked with you guys, I would recommend you to others.

My favorite thing about BCG was the summary sheets I got every week. Those helped me keep track of what was going on verses other recruiters that would say "I am applying to this position" and I would never hear back about it either way, and in some cases, I am not sure that they ever applied. This is my second time working with Becca and I have the confidence to know that the work was getting done and I didn't need to fret over every detail with her.
