Duties

• Defend medical professionals and healthcare entities in malpractice litigation
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses and memoranda
• Assist with deposition preparation, expert coordination, and witness examinations
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy
• Manage assigned case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines
• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Requirements

• Approximately 3 years of experience in medical malpractice defense
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical-legal issues
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and evidentiary rules
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of Florida
• Admission to Florida federal courts is preferred but not required
