Kilpatrick Stockton Merges with the West Coast
The Atlanta-based Kilpatrick Stockton has begun what some are speculating to be the first of several acquisitions of law firms based on the West Coast.
Kilpatrick's merger with Bell, Rosenberg & Hughes, an Oakland-based boutique, will be effective starting Friday, Kilpatrick will be adding on five partners, one counsel and four associates to the firm.
Bill Dorris, a managing partner at Kilpatrick Stockton, said, ''This action further solidifies Kilpatrick Stockton's reputation as the go-to firm for construction and infrastructure projects.''
Roger Hughes will take the position of managing partner at the Oakland office. Hughes says his firm has worked with ''many of California's and the nation's best-known and well-established construction industry participants.''
Kilpatrick Stockton has offices in Atlanta, Augusta, Charlotte, New York City, Oakland, Raleigh, Washington and Winston-Salem. Additionally, they have offices overseas in Dubai and Stockholm, Sweden.
