BCG Attorney Search Reviews

537 reviews mean that attorneys love BCG!

They were very good about scheduling the calls, getting the process rolling. I started working with someone who was in California and he transferred me to an associate in New York. The entire process was basically seamless. Another recruiter at BCG picked up where Brian left off. I really appreciated the responsiveness and being able to get the process rolling quickly. It made it a whole lot easier because BCG had their eye and ear to the ground and were able to see what openings were there and get me in the door, which I wasn't able to do on my own. I was also abroad and trying to transfer home so I really didn't have an ear to the ground. I needed someone to advocate on my behalf in the states while I was abroad. I only worked with one other recruiter and he didn't place me. And then I started working with BCG and you did. I think it's pretty clear that you're better than him. I would recommend you.

Job searching is always stressful no matter what, and adding a global pandemic on top of that is extremely stressful. Having someone to guide and coach me through that process took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sarah was always available, extremely kind, and very personable and easy to talk to. I felt like she really cared about where I ended up and I always enjoyed my conversations with her. She was always very happy and excited, which made me feel happy and excited about the process rather than stressed out.
Rather than having to look up new job openings and reach out to firms myself, you all did the upfront hard work for me. That allowed me to focus on perfecting my resume, cover letter, and preparing for interviews.
I really enjoyed my experience working with Sarah, and I am very happy with the job I ended up at because of her. It turned out to be a perfect fit and was a very easy process.
Q. Where would we rank/compare to other recruiting companies you may have used?
A. I have not used any other companies before, but I would recommend BCG to anyone and I would be happy to work with Sarah again in the future if I ever decide to get a new job.

One thing I liked a lot about my legal placement professional was that she was super friendly and really responsive, and in her communications with perspective employers, she was very professional but also cheerful with them, which is kind of nice being the same way I would interact with people. She was a good person to have representing me because I felt like her approach was similar to my own which I really liked. BCG made my search easier in a lot of ways. I was out of the country for starters, and I had no easy way of doing a job search. It was super helpful to work with you guys and she to be able to get a job lined up. You guys are the only recruiting firm I have worked with, but I have had a really great experience. It was all positive, and I feel like she and I dialoged about my specific circumstances. We talked about what would make the most sense, what to try, and had a couple of conversations along those lines. I felt like I was being personally and individually represented. It worked out really well.

Annie was friendly, personable, and always responded promptly. I loved that Annie wrote my cover letters and dealt with the application process. I would rank BCG the very top! Great experience. Would not hesitate to use Annie and/or BCG in the future.

What were some of your favorite things about working with BCG and Carolina?

Extremely responsive. She was proactive in the sense of keeping up with me even if there wasn't anything new necessarily happening. She would reach out just to check in and let me know what she was doing. If I was having any issues she would talk me through it and send me BCG literature that was applicable to what I was going through.

Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

At the top - I reached out to the recruiting firm I got my first job through and they dropped the ball and basically told me there was nothing out there with the pandemic going on. Carolina was consistently sending me new openings and advocating on my behalf.

[My favorite thing about BCG was] the communication, with everyone working together across markets and communicating with me as well...I mainly worked with my legal placement professional and she was very on top of everything. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable with interviews and knowing the process, so she helped me a lot with that...it was very responsive [and] took a lot of the time off my hands. Communicating with the firms and also handling some of the awkward conversation situations, being that middle person really helped [made my job search easier]. [The words that come to mind when I think of BCG are] friendly, professional, and top tier. I've worked with several recruiters and overall BCG was just much better. Based on the recruiting companies that I worked with I would say [you are] number one. And I've worked with someone at Parker Lynch, Wegman, and then a couple of other solo people. Each for different reasons, I think BCG was the best. [BCG] was very friendly and knowledgeable and responsive. They have good connections to the firms and a good brand for getting you out there and working for different firms to get you where you want to be.

A recruiter in the Chicago office found me my job. She was very helpful, she was very responsive and she got results. I had a resume that was a little non-traditional since I had moved a few times. I don't know what she did, but she got results. She also set up interview coaching sessions with me. She did a lot of the leg work. I never had to follow up with her to see the status or anything, as she kept me regularly up to date. It was about three weeks between the time I was working with her and the time I got a job. It wasn't a long drawn out process. I found my recruiter to be very professional, effective, and legitimate. Maybe a better word is actually knowledgeable. She called me, she understood what she was selling, and she understood the process really well. I think she handled it like a pro. I would rank BCG as the top recruiting company. I would recommend you guys wholeheartedly.

My favorite thing about working with BCG Attorney Search and Sarah was that she was always able to answer questions I had about each role and was a great negotiator on my behalf. She just continued to reach out and share listings with me that I thought would be appropriate, until I was hired. I haven't worked with a recruiter in the past, but this was a great experience.

[Working with BCG] was very easy. I worked with my legal placement professional because I had responded to some listings online and she got right in touch with me. She did a lot of the work and just kept me in the loop. It was very helpful. I felt confident that she was looking at listings that I probably didn't have access to...when I accepted an offer it did make me confident that I was accepting a good offer. I felt confident that I wasn't leaving anything on the table that I would have found otherwise. That gave me some confidence too. I would say [BCG is] helpful. I guess the second word I would think of is quick because it really wasn't long after I got in touch with my legal placement professional that I ended up with an interview and then an offer. So that was great. As far as a third one, I guess efficient. I never actually met my legal placement professional in person, we talked on the phone [and] we emailed. But I really didn't have to put a whole lot of time into the relationship. I had a positive experience working with you all, I ended up with a result that I'm very pleased with and I didn't really have to do a lot to maintain that relationship. My legal placement professional really drove that process. Bottom line: I would say to somebody there really is nothing to lose contacting you all. If I was going to do any one thing differently, to me I would have been a little better off if I had known to stay in touch with my legal placement professional a little bit more. Once I was contacted to do a phone interview...after the phone interview I came down to San Diego for an in person interview. It was really only after I had received an offer that I then got back in touch with my legal placement professional. I think I might have been a little better off if I had stayed in touch with her more. Like [telling her] I have a phone interview coming up [and] we should confer...I think I would have been a little better off if I had more information going into those. I just didn't understand that it would have been important to keep in touch. Just because it was going so efficiently and it was run well, kind of remotely, so I thought it was just kind of on autopilot. That is the one [piece of] advice I would give to other people in my position.
