Becca was very responsive to emails. I felt like I wasn't being pushed in terms of making a decision one way or another. I generally like the interface with being able to see the status of everything and a list of where all of my applications were under one room as opposed to everything being all over the place.Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. I would say near the top in terms of responsiveness and being very up to date with everything.
She was very knowledgeable about the market and had a large scope of information on both mid-sized and AmLaw firms. She was great at negotiating the offers that came in with the firm, ultimately to the offer that I accepted. She was able to give me advice on time frames in which to answer firms that did move forward with offers and help navigate that process. She provided excellent service. Sarah is awesome, great, thoughtful, and diligent. A pleasure to work with.
My favorite aspect of working with the entire BCG team was the array of helpful resources that they shared with me. Whether it be a podcast episode about how best to approach the legal job market, or an article on how to answer tough interview questions, I felt that I had a world of resources and support at my fingertips. Working with BCG Attorney Search made my job search easier by helping me find out what opportunities were out there. I was only aware of a limited number of education law positions, and the regular updates opened my eyes to so many more options. I have never used a recruiting company before this, but I know that in the future I would expect the same level of constant care and job support as I received here. I ultimately got a job at the end so that was a good outcome. I like the way the process was where I could vet the firms that were possible options. [My favorite things about working with BCG and Sarah] was the weekly updates on how things were going. Sarah was also very responsive and very in touch over text. It was very useful to get updates over text because text worked better for me at times. She adapted to making text work since that is what worked well for me so I appreciated that as well. It made it easier to have the information easily and readily available and to have her available via text whenever she had a question or wanted to follow up on something. She was very easy to access.[Working with BCG made my job search] so much easier! Sarah was able to do the background work and talk to the firms hiring people to "make the sale" if you will. It took the pressure off of me of having to make a cover letter and having to do the searching around to find those positions - some positions may not even have been posted. I like the online portal and tracking system. She would send me a list of places she wanted to apply to and you just approve or not approve those applications. That was super helpful and the tracking capabilities were also super helpful. I had a very positive experience. I felt comfortable talking to Sarah. A couple times I would tell her "I don't know if I can do this today" and she would come through with a pep talk about this is why it is important to do this and giving me options. I cannot emphasize enough how much I liked the weekly updates and her accessibility via text.Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. BCG is more comprehensive. At the beginning, before I even started searching, Sarah and I had a good conversation about if I still wanted to practice anymore and what was I looking for and what was interesting to me. In my mind she searched around for things that would be suitable for me instead of saying "I have this" and trying to fit me into something that was already on her plate.In terms of the structure of things, as I mentioned, such as the tracking - not just of where things had been sent but the status of the application was super helpful and the weekly updates. BCG is the best of the ones that I have worked with or that I have heard about those friends have worked with.

Initially I was open to looking at defense side opportunities, but I really found out that that wasn't the route for me so we had to negotiate that shift of finding only plaintiff side opportunities. I know that was a little bit more challenging for my legal placement professional because of the seniority level that I was at and the sheer number of plaintiff side opportunities is a lot less. After we worked through that process she heard me and found the plaintiff side opportunity that ended up working out for me.I wanted to also give a shout out to Brian, who was my legal placement professional's supervisor. He gave some great interview tips and I appreciated his interview cheat sheet that he supplied to me. I had so many interviews that by the end I was declining the offer to get that prep because I had heard it and used the cheat sheet; however, initially in the process it was super helpful. I also appreciated that that offer was always there. Brian always reached out before an interview and said if you would like to talk before the interview let me know. That attention was really welcome and appreciated.
My favorite thing about BCG Attorney Search was the access to so many great relationships with different firms. Any jobs that I saw outside of working with my legal placement professional, she had already knew about and had already been prepping it sufficiently for me. She brought me things that were not anywhere to be found. I really liked the depth of access to the job openings she had. My legal placement professional did so much ground work and worked tirelessly to ensure my submission materials were on point. I was being submitted to as many job openings as possible that seemed like a good fit for me. My legal placement professional had constant contact and communication with me. My legal placement professional kept me in the loop every step in the process. BCG ranked higher than any other recruiting firms that I've worked with.

My legal placement professional was just great, from the intake and talking with me about opportunities and tidying up my resume to my experience and the negotiations, it was really great dealing with her! You essentially took care of everything. Helping with the pre-process of ensuring I was showing all of my qualifications and skills in the best possible way. [She made it easier by] searching for positions that would be best for me and making those arrangements. During the offer of employment and those negotiations and conversations she worked directly with the firm for me so it was very good. I didn't have to do much on my end except communicate with my legal placement professional and obviously do the interviews and stuff, but other than that BCG handled everything so that was great!Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. I have not used anyone other than BCG in the past but in putting myself out there for a new position I did get called by recruiters from other firms and I would have to say that I prefer BCG over the other firms. You seem to have it more together in terms of really looking out for the candidate you are working with and trying to look at various positions. Also, working with candidate to have them present themselves the best possible way they can. I didn't necessarily get that feeling from the other 2 or 3 recruiting firms that I spoke to.
My legal placement professional was very responsive and it seemed like she was very frank and up front about the market and what was available and what wasn't, what was realistic and what was not and I really appreciated getting the summaries each week. My legal placement professional did everything except the interview, so she did the whole job search for me. BCG got me a job, so I'd say you're #1.
My legal placement professional was fantastic. I can easily say she was the best recruiter I have worked with, although I have not worked with many. Probably helps that she is an attorney herself. Very communicative and had great insights that helped me land what looks like will not only be a great job, but a great job for me specifically. I'd recommend her without reservation.
My legal placement professional was very attentive and very much aware of what I wanted, what I didn't want, she was casting a wide net, but she took into account what I was really looking for so I really appreciated that instead of doing the mass resume thing. I like that she was really responsive and one of the things I really appreciated about working with her is that she was very involved, I had issues like when should I send my notice and so on and she basically guided me through the whole thing and is still guiding me so I really appreciated that about working with her. First of all, BCG allowed me to know about opportunities that I wouldn't have known about otherwise, so that presented more opportunities than I would have found on my own. Second of all, my legal placement professional took care of everything in terms of the resume, cover letter and follow up that meant that I didn't have to do anything but approve or disapprove the jobs and that basically took care of the whole thing. I really appreciated the resources my legal placement professional and BCG provided through literature and thought it was extremely helpful during my job search. My legal placement professional also gave me another voice to bounce ideas off of, kind of an objective 3rd party in a way. I have never worked with any other recruiters but my experience with my legal placement professional and BCG was great.
I thought the company was very professional and prompt, and made themselves available, particularly the legal placement professional I worked with. I felt like it gave me a better insight into how the employers were thinking about my resume. Particularly the insight that my legal placement professional got when he was working with hiring directors. He was able to share with me from time to time about their level of interest in my application that was helpful. It was also helpful to know a little more about market trends I didn't have a lot of clarity into otherwise. [BCG is] professional, responsive, [and] competent. I would recommend you. You did the job that I was hoping you would do for me very well. I understood the balancing act that you have to do between supporting the needs of the applicants and employers and I thought you handled that well.
My favorite thing about working with BCG was my legal placement professional. She was very invested in my search and got to know me in a personal, individual way. I liked the updates that you guys provided regularly. Working with BCG made my job easier in three ways. One is that it would be very, very hard to reach out and connect with all the various law firms that are out there. Two, even if you are able to do that, it's hard to keep track of the various markets for active needs as they come up. But it seemed like it was really a process that was occurring in real time. You guys kept up with what was happening in firms. That's how I ended getting up one of the two offers that I got. It was a firm that needed something quickly, it was something that your office understood, and then it got to my recruiter and she called me right away. The third way is that with my legal placement professional, she was very helpful because she got to know me as a person and as a candidate. She was then able to give me some advice and some perspective on how to consider all of the options that I ultimately had. She also helped to prepare me for each step in the process and provided great counseling. I had a really good recruiter who placed me where I am now, before I came to you guys, and then later on she disappeared. A few years later when I needed her help, she was involved with my company and transitioning people out. So it left me with a feeling that she was attentive and good when I was somebody that she could benefit from, but when she figured she couldn't she disappeared. That was very disappointing. So I would rank you as a ten. It's the best relationship I've had with a recruiting firm in every way. I would describe BCG as very helpful, because of your search process. You cast a wide net and have access to all the leads that are out there. So I think your company is something attorneys should definitely consider. You guys have personal interest and attention that I experienced with my recruiter. I've actually recommended you to people already. I feel very positive about my entire experience.
My legal placement professional was pretty responsive. He kept me up to date and was responsive to my emails. It certainly made it [my job search] a lot easier because you found openings I probably would not have found otherwise. [There was] no need to go look for openings. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are helpful, experienced, and productive. BCG is at the top of the list when I think of recruiters. If I was recommending you to others I would tell them that that you are a recruiting firm and that you work really hard to get people jobs. I liked the weekly updates that I got, and I liked that my legal placement professional was always very available. She would text me or email me, was always pretty easy to get a hold of, and made herself available even on the weekends. It was easier to have someone else take care of it, and I knew she would always check in. She was willing to do as much or as little as I wanted her to, so that was really good. You are very helpful and I like the way your system is set up. I would definitely recommend you to a friend.
Romina did a good job preparing me for the interview for the position I just accepted and she took a lot of time with me. She was very hard working and dedicated and I felt like she actually cared, which was really cool. I appreciated her honesty. I felt like she was honest about how I could do the best at showcasing my skills and presenting myself in an interview. Being provided the available openings that were in my practice area and getting sent a weekly update on available openings and progress reports, status updates, having it all in one report was convenient and easy and I really liked that and it made my search much easier. I would say it was a 10/10 experience. My experience was really great and I was really happy working with Romina. She is really excellent and attentive, and took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for, and I felt like she was really motivated to find me something and it paid off. Brian is an incredible, very effective team! They moved the process along quickly and were extremely responsive to all my questions at every stage. How quickly the process worked for me. Carleen and I started talking in October and I had interviews and got a job offer by late November, early December. It [using a recruiter] helped a lot! I was originally told not to use a recruiter because sometimes firms won't pay for the fee, but that was the wrong advice because I did a lot of job searching on my own and applying on my own and that led to absolutely nothing! The second that I started working with a recruiter I had immediate interest and interviews so obviously that network was really important. Especially for me coming out of state and not being licensed in CO yet, that made all the difference to me! Carleen is great! We didn't have a ton of communication because it wasn't necessary but anytime I needed her she was quick and just really lovely.Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's you may have used?A. In April, when I first started looking into moving to Colorado I started looking at recruiters and spoke to one. I told her exactly what I wanted out of a firm and was very descriptive and she immediately sent me back 4 or 5 firms and when I looked at them online I realized she was not listening to me. It's clear that she just wanted a big commission because these firms pay a lot more but they were just not what I am looking for and I got really frustrated. When I spoke with Carleen I felt like she really listed to exactly what I was looking for and knew the kind of firm I wanted. Also, it was really sweet - when I did get a job she reached out and was really nice about it and said she could tell I was really despairing and I am so glad we could help. I feel like she regarded me more as a person.
She was really responsive. Anytime she emailed me with a list of firms and I responded back saying what I was interested in, she would respond right away and let me know she was going to submit me. She was super super responsive and consistently would send me emails about multiple opportunities. I feel like other recruiters I worked with in the past will contact you about an initial opportunity and then once you speak with them you never hear from them again or maybe hear from them in 3 mos but she was always consistently sending me opportunities, weekly, which is nice. When she reached out she sent me multiple opportunities. Other recruiters in the past have contacted me with one opportunity in mind, which is fine, but I think it's nice for attorneys who are looking for new jobs and new opportunities to get multiple possible options, so that was great. With the negotiation with my other employer, when I talked to her about things that were important to me in my next job I feel like she really listened to what I wanted. Sometimes other recruiters you get the sense that they just want to place you somewhere so they can get their commission but with her I really felt like she really listened to the things that mattered to me. Specifically, finding a job that was in commercial litigation but was also practicing in intellectual property, which is where I am really passionate about. She made sure once I got the job offer to go back to the partners and express to them in a professional way that that was what I was really interested in. Also, trying to negotiate a higher salary for me which is really nice. I feel like she really advocated for me, whereas other recruiters sometimes want to dial down or ask for less. When we had after I told her I got the job opportunity she didn't try to pressure me into saying "yes". She was excited for me but I also told her what I was concerned about and what was important to me and I feel like she really advocated for me. In terms of BCG, it was a great experience! I had the best experience working with her, she was great! It made it easier because the opportunities Carleen would email and other people at BCG would email me about were opportunities that I didn't see online. I would also look on my own online to see what positions were available and a lot of the firms that were looking, I didn't see online. Maybe the firms were trying to look in a confidential way or have recruiters just look for them so that #1 made it easier. I feel like I got exposure to opportunities that I wouldn't have found by myself. #2 - because there were so many opportunities and lists of firms they would email be about, if I wasn't interested in something because it's not the practice area that I want to focus on they had no problem with that whatsoever. They said "Okay, no problem. We want to make sure you find a job that you are happy in and not just place you anywhere." It made it really helpful to get a list of so many opportunities and if there were a couple that I just wasn't interested in, it wouldn't be a big deal because there were so many others they would email me about. Those 2 things made it really really helpful.Also, having Carleen, once I did get the offer, go back to the partners and express that I was really excited about the opportunity but to make sure to stress the things that were important to me I felt like made it a lot easier. I had a great experience working with you all, and I will be sure to refer any of my friends/associates/former colleagues to you whenever the time comes for them to start their job searching process.
I thought the process was really easy. I was connected to someone who was in my current region, but because I was looking outside of my region, they assigned Romina from the west coast, and I had an east coast and south area recruiter and I really liked that they worked together and kept each other up to date. I felt like they were more on top of it than I was a lot of the time and Romina was awesome. She was really responsive, she was able to do a lot via text which made it really easy to communicate with her during the day. Email is great, but the firm I worked for doesn't let us have our personal email when we are in the office. She was really nice and I got my dream job and I really appreciate all of her hard work. I felt like I didn't have to do much other than to send you my resume and some requested information and then BCG did the rest of the work. They communicated directly with the employers, they got me the leads of the places where openings were and set up the interviews, and they also dealt with the correspondence after. They just made it so that my work was really minimal. I haven't worked with any other recruiters, but I found you because you were ranked as the number one legal recruiting services. Everyone was really awesome to work with. Karen was my point of contact for the Midwest and Nadeen for East Coast and Jennifer for the South. They were all really great and I really appreciate everyone. I am really excited to start my next adventure and I wouldn't have had the time or resources to do it by myself.
My favorite thing about working with BCG was Carleen's responsiveness and attentiveness to what I was looking for in a firm as well as her diligence, once I believed I had found the firm for me. Working with BCG helped remove some stress away from what is a daunting process. It allowed me to place my attention elsewhere, knowing that my search process was in good hands. I loved the responsiveness of Romina, and the weekly reports were super helpful, just knowing there was work going on. Also, one thing that was great, was just before the interview checking in with her and having her walk me through the interview (because I haven't interviewed in so long), she was kind of nervous about that process and she made herself available to calm nerves and walk me through everything. This was my first switch since graduating law school and so I just wasn't sure how this worked, but she explained the process and she was very open. She wasn't applying to firms that didn't fit what I wanted and I really appreciated that. She went after the jobs I really wanted and got out to those opportunities for me, so that was very helpful. I have never worked with a recruiter, and I thought that everything went really well. I got a job and so this worked out great.
I would say that Romina was extremely attentive, sometimes I would message or email her on the weekend not expecting her to reply until Monday, but I did it when I had it in my head and she would reply right away which I was always surprised at and told her she didn't have to do. She was extremely attentive and responsive. She was also very understanding and I didn't feel pressured by her. I felt like she was really a pleasure to work with, so friendly and made me feel really comfortable. I think that the facilitation of having another point of contact, someone who has either an established relationship with a firm or just some other point of contact with them helped get answers faster, responses faster, whether they were positive or negative, at least you could move on and focus on other areas so I feel like it facilitated the overall speed of the process and there was definitely opportunities that she found that I don't think I would have found on my own. I would say that Romina is absolutely outstanding and I really enjoyed working and communicating with her and thought she was extremely professional and understanding and overall a really great resource.
Romina was really responsive and really transparent, like I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than being interviewed by a potential employer, it was more like she was like by buddy and she was there to help me and she was really transparent about any questions that I had and that was really refreshing. I think one huge thing that helped make my job search easier was having a very streamlined online system where I could go through on my own time and research the firms and approve or decline and then having the whole actual application and cover letter process taken off my hands saved a ton of time. BCG is definitely the best, and I have probably worked with 6 or 7 over the years.
With respect to Romina specifically, I think she was very responsive, she was very proactive and seems like I got her attention and she was out there looking for opportunities for me. She was in a difficult position in part because I was working with 2 search firms before I touched base with her, so a lot of the obvious firms and opportunities were already being pursued by 2 other firms, so I wasn't expecting much, but I think she did a great job in thinking beyond the obvious opportunities and a little outside of the box, so to speak. I also wanted to mention that I appreciate the resources, brochures and publications by Harrison that provided a lot of insight in terms of interview tips and search strategies and things like that, which I found very valuable and was not something I was getting from the other 2 search firms that I had been working with. You guys handled a lot of the aspects of the logistics of setting up the interviews and getting quick feedback after interviews, definitely scouring the firms and opportunities available. In southern California, one thing that Romina did that I was not doing, was looking a little beyond LA which is where I was and was looking and I ended up in Orange Country which I am very happy about, so that was one thing that she did that definitely made things easier for me and ultimately more productive from the perspective of 1, getting to meet more firms and 2, finding the place I really liked the best. I have worked with a few search firms in the past, when I moved from DC to LA, but I really feel like BCG was really the best go to in terms of picking up a tough situation where I was already working with 2 search firms and thinking what value could they add at that point, also, the resources as I said, a lot of this is of Harrisons opinions and views on things which I talked about with Romina, whether he is right or wrong about these things, it's really good and valuable to have that view in the middle of the search process in terms of what the firms are looking for, what you should be looking for, what you should be thinking about, that to me really puts BCG above others and just based on the spring of this year, I was looking at so many different firms and job postings and it seems like BCG had so much more in terms of job postings and opportunities and contact.
I just received your very thoughtful bottle of champagne and wanted to reach out to you both to say thank you, both for the gift and for all of our help in the recruiting process. BCG is prompt and responsive and within less than a day of me talking to Romina, she had already gotten me with the firms to target and started doing research for me. The speed was important because I was on a really short time table. I had let her know that, and she jumped right into action and was super responsive and prompt. She reviewed my materials and gave them some thought and quickly got them out there as soon as I got them back to her. She identified a really good opportunity and jumped on it and ended up working out. Working with her took all of the footwork that I would have had to do in terms of researching what firms to target, applying to those firms, which is the big thing, you know filling out all of the many page long combo box drop down to plug in your education and all of that like you do when you apply directly like through a website. I didn't have to do any of that. I just sent her my materials and she took it from there. I have only talked with 1 other recruiter and she was fine as well, but she didn't seem to know the market as well. I feel like with Romina, she had a much better handle on the firms in that location and firms that would be good targets for me. My confidence level with Romina was very important for me.
I love the ease of using BCG Attorney Search. It happened so easily and so quickly. I like how you guys sent the link with the proposed firms, and I got to mark up which ones that I was interested in and which ones I wasn't, I thought that was really convenient., the ease and convenience were my favorite thing. BCG is the top recruiting firm, so happy I got the job.
Nadeen was very thorough and extremely helpful with the lateral associate interview preparation and with the types of questions and framing the answers, etc. Nadeen handled finding all of the types of firms that I could apply to, doing the research adjusting from a large city to a smaller city, because she scoured the market for me to find the appropriate firms which saved me the time that I would have had to spend doing it.
I had access to a very large volume of opportunities and openings, I appreciated the depth of picturing experience in terms of things like resources to other people who have received offers from other places, and having that type of intel information that was available was helpful. BCG made my job search much easier as I was able to focus on things like preparing for interviews and other areas of researching the firms where I had received an invitation to interview with rather than spending my time researching firms that didn't show interest in the first place. I had more time for things like putting together emails and cover letters , that kind of first step. I have been very happy with BCG. I used BCG when I was placed with my old firm as well and I was very pleased with working with my recruiter and when I decided I was going to make a move, she was my first and only call and didn't even consider speaking with other people because I was so confident in her process and in working with BCG.

I had a wonderful experience overall. I thought that the firm was extremely responsive, aggressive, and very well organized. I thought the recruiter I worked with, Carleen Trapp, was particularly helpful and she did a great job. She identified a lot of opportunities for me and was of great assistance in terms of helping me make a decision. Working with BCG Attorney Search got me a new job, which is the best part. I was in the process of making a geographic move anyway. Having the firm provide initial targets and then narrow that down to places that fit well with my practice area and profile the type of firm that I was looking to lateral to also made my job search easier. It made what could have been very long and painful processes quite efficient and quite enjoyable. The first three words that come to mind when I think about BCG are responsive, efficient, and organized. I would rank BCG Attorney Search as far and away the best I have ever worked with, no question. I thought that the regular updates really helped and I'd say that Romina was really consistent with her reaching out in terms of pushing things forward. I thought that helped made it more efficient and I thought it was a good way to keep things up to date and move things forward in terms of getting interviews and screeners and even updating my materials. I would say that BCG is at the top of my list for recruiters and certainly number one.
I liked that BCG assigned me a personal recruiter who I had a conversation with. That was really nice and I liked the direct contact with Harrison Barnes, that made me feel appreciated. I feel really appreciated with one on one time. I had really great conversations with the recruiters that I worked with and I thought that they were excellent. They didn't make any mistakes and were excellent.
I liked how once your registered to the website you can see positions that were open that matched my criteria, which offices and cities they were in, so that was pretty easy. It showed my resume was at some firm, like a sub status. Like if it was pending, if I had an interview if they rejected me or haven't yet, so that was very convenient. Carleen was very good about sending email communications and she was very responsive. It seems with other recruiters, it took several recruiters to cover such a big area, but with BCG, it was very easy and very centralized and they allowed me to search all of the locations, 3 states, with one centralized database. So it doesn't get more efficient than that. I didn't have to worry about reaching out to a recruiter in every single different city I may be interested in. I basically just submitted my criteria to the database and it automatically went to Carleen and she updated me right away on positions and it was very efficient that way. Honestly, in my experience, the service that was provided was basically in its own category. It's the most comprehensive enterprise solution and no other service I have worked with even came close. I was confused how to go about my job search and how to get the ball rolling, but once I made the decision to look for a job, I didn't just want to sit on my hands and wait for recruiters to reach out to me, I decided I wanted to get the ball rolling, so I went online and Googled Legal Recruiters and BCG was the top result. I registered and within a day or so, I was speaking with Harrison Barnes on the phone and we got the process started. I have never had the kind of access to information that I did with the whole database with BCG.
[One of my favorite things about working with Romina and BCG were] the regular weekly emails that I could approve and not approve. I liked that it generated an automated response that [Romina] got it and [was] working on it and submitting [me], so that was a really nice feature. It makes you feel like you are moving forward. I didn't really have to do much, BCG did everything which, when you are a practicing attorney, you really need because there are so many deadlines that you are working with professionally, so for me, it made it really simple. [BCG was] very pro-active. I thought [they had] expansive thinking as far as different options, and [I appreciated the] constant updates. [BCG made my job search easier because] I always knew what the status was so I didn't have to call somebody and ask them what's going on. I thought you guys were the best [recruiting company I've worked with].
[My favorite thing about BCG was] the responsiveness. Generally speaking, the person I worked with was always responsive to my emails; there were [also] pretty regular texts about new employment opportunities. [The word that comes to mind when I think of BCG is] relief that there is someone else to help you. I have only worked with one other [recruiting firm] and I would put you ahead of [them]. I just gave BCG's information to a colleague of mine who is interested in changing firms. I told her you guys were responsive, you guys have a lot of different opportunities, and that you kept in pretty regular contact.
I thought your online system and being able to see everything was very helpful. A lot of other people don't have that. You certainly had the most opportunities and had them the quickest. There were things you would send to me that another recruiter would send to me two weeks later. [BCG Attorney Search is] efficient, proactive, and organized. [You are] certainly in the top tier. You would be my go to recommend for anyone. If you need the company that has the most breadth and is going to send you the most options then I would go with you.
I liked being able to approve the law firms for application [online]. [Working with BCG] sort of took the burden off of me from trying to determine what would be the best firms to apply to [and] trying to search through a lot of different websites. It just made the whole thing easier. [When I think of BCG the first words that come to mind are] efficient, compassionate, and competent. I would have to say you're the best because you actually got me a job. You guys are a great resource for someone who is trying to do a job search in a new location and doesn't really [have a lot] of contacts in an area.

[Working with BCG] was very easy. I worked with Lorie because I had responded to some listings online and she got right in touch with me. She did a lot of the work and just kept me in the loop. It was very helpful. I felt confident that she was looking at listings that I probably didn't have access to...when I accepted an offer it did make me confident that I was accepting a good offer. I felt confident that I wasn't leaving anything on the table that I would have found otherwise. That gave me some confidence too. I would say [BCG is] helpful. I guess the second word I would think of is quick because it really wasn't long after I got in touch with Lorie that I ended up with an interview and then an offer. So that was great. As far as a third one, I guess efficient. I never actually met Lorie in person, we talked on the phone [and] we emailed. But I really didn't have to put a whole lot of time into the relationship. I had a positive experience working with you all, I ended up with a result that I'm very pleased with and I didn't really have to do a lot to maintain that relationship. Lorie really drove that process. Bottom line: I would say to somebody there really is nothing to lose contacting you all. If I was going to do any one thing differently, to me I would have been a little better off if I had known to stay in touch with Lorie a little bit more. Once I was contacted to do a phone interview...after the phone interview I came down to San Diego for an in person interview. It was really only after I had received an offer that I then got back in touch with Lorie. I think I might have been a little better off if I had stayed in touch with her more. Like [telling her] I have a phone interview coming up [and] we should confer...I think I would have been a little better off if I had more information going into those. I just didn't understand that it would have been important to keep in touch. Just because it was going so efficiently and it was run well, kind of remotely, so I thought it was just kind of on autopilot. That is the one [piece of] advice I would give to other people in my position.
[BCG] made it easy to review potential employers, [and it was an] easy process. I got interviews with employers I wouldn't have otherwise considered or known about. [BCG is] simple and efficient. [BCG ranks] first [compared to other search firms]. [BCG is] simple and effective.
[My favorite things about BCG were their] professionalism in the recruiter that I worked with and their diligence in assisting with my job search. They have contacts with firms that I would not have otherwise been able to have contact with. [BCG is] professional, diligent, and helpful. [You] clearly approach recruiting in a way that I think makes a lot of sense and is targeted to get results.
I remember that Harrison Barnes called me pretty soon after I reached out to him, or pretty soon after we agreed to work together and talked to me over the phone. That was good. [You have] all the resources and connections that are required to put you into the circle of firms that I would expect to be shopped to. That was definitely a positive thing.
I got a job. You presented me with law firms I didn't think about previously. [The first things that come to mind when I think of BCG Attorney Search are] good follow up, and you were pretty thorough in providing law firms, [as well as] looking through all the law firms that are out and about. I enjoyed the responsiveness. I was licensed in a different state and BCG helped me get a job in a different jurisdiction. I would say that whether [it was] a phone call or an email BCG was very quick to respond. It made it easier because you could really bounce ideas off the BCG individual, sort of as an intermediary. No question was really out of line or too dumb or could be misconstrued any which way. It was nice to have that buffer. [I would describe BCG as] responsive, diligent, and loyal. I have worked with others, [and BCG is] among the best. I worked with two other ones before and so I had come into working with BCG jaded about recruiting services. The others ones were not giving me the type of opportunity that I had merited and BCG was able to obtain many interviews for me. I would describe BCG as a place where you should get with them early on and stick with them. The hiring process is unknown [territory] but BCG will be there to help you navigate the uncharted waters of [your] job search.

I thought you were very responsive. I spoke with Harrison and he listened to my needs and found opportunities that I thought were available. I was looking at Albany, [which is] a fairly small market. He found me the opportunity I wanted. It turned out that I left that firm and went back to my old firm after realizing that I am better suited as a capital markets lawyer at a large law firm. I thought that you did a great job. [Working with you made my job easier because] you found me the opportunity that I eventually accepted. You presented me with a host of options. I was a little bit limited in my desired geography. I always knew there were going to be limited opportunities; I think you found the maximum number of opportunities that were out there. It was extremely helpful. I would recommend you. I think you do listen to what each candidate is looking for and I think you are fairly aggressive in going out and find out what's available and trying to make a proper match. I would definitely recommend you.

I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the work that Claudia provided and the results she helped me obtain. Unlike previous experience I've had with other recruiters, Claudia was able to focus my job search to only those firms where there was a good fit between what they were looking for and what I was looking for. She also provided invaluable advice as to how to position myself and my background for maximum effectiveness, whether by resume or in the interview itself. Finally, the "moral support" that Claudia was happy to provide was a bonus very much appreciated. In short, I landed the job I wanted, and I felt better throughout the whole process as a result of working with Claudia, too. I would recommend her to anybody thinking about a new job.
My recruiter in Los Angeles was absolutely wonderful. I had a difficult time finding a job because of my focus in my practice area. A lot of recruiters gave up on me. They would get very excited, but after a few weeks or months they would have trouble placing me and they would give up. And my recruiter did not. My recruiter was interested in me and she was very determined. My recruiter was able to get me interviews at great firms. They stuck with me until we found a placement, a good home for me. And I really appreciated that. Working with BCG opened a lot of doors for me, because even though I was searching for jobs myself and applying, I might not have seen a lot of the job postings. Also, I was not able to reach the recruiting officers at law firms. Having my recruiter advocate on my behalf and check on the status of my submission was really helpful. So that was very helpful.Thinking about BCG brings back happy memories of getting the job I wanted.I would say you are very helpful, and that you are different than some other search firms in that you try to find out what the best fit is for each person. You don't seem like the type of firm that just send out someone's resume to one hundred different firms and hoping that something sticks. You see what would be the best fit on both ends. You try to cater to the individual circumstances of each person.
I started working with Claudia She was really good. She kind of just jumped in and said, "Can I help you? Can we talk about this? What can we do? What are you thinking about?" I had some other offers that were through a different recruiter. Of course she emphasized the Milbank offer, but I believed what she said when she compared them, and I appreciated her advice. She also was open, and she said do you need help on neighborhoods and moving and all that stuff. I feel like she has handled this a lot. She knows what's going to happen. I debated asking for a signing bonus, since I had multiple offers. She then contacted Milbank and their recruiter and said would this be bad? We ended up finding a good way to get me a litter better deal than the original first offer. So I really appreciated her, her knowledge, and knowing how best to approach that and giving me advice on what and what would not be a good ideaa nd then I got an offer, which was amazing.As far as getting a little bit better offer I think that was something Claudia was able to help, and I'm not sure I would have been able to do myself. It was nice to kind of have the in-between, for her to talk to their recruitment staff, so I didn't have to directly ask a partner, just to kind of test the waters. So I think that was where it was more helpful than had I been on my own.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG Attorney Search are big, opportunity, and overall knowledgeable.I would describe it as full of experience and opportunities. Keeping things confidential, like as you will too. So if you reach out, make sure both sides are confidential and I think that is respected. I like that. I would say there are a lot of people, I think I had six or seven people from BCG at one time or another connect with me on LinkedIn within about a three month span. I would say they are not all created equal. I would say talk to, and look at background and experience, before you decide which person you want to be your primary contact.
Today is my first day at KTS. It looks like I'll do well here, and Dennis and Larry seem really cool and should be great to work for. I worked with Claudia and I just really liked her. She actually still keeps in touch. It seems like it was really about finding the right fit, and even if she wasn't the right fit she would still be there for me, so I really like her.Working with BCG made it so I didn't really have to do much in terms of following up. She gave me advice on that. She let me know what was out there, and then she handled a lot of the negotiation process. So I didn't have to deal with that directly, which is good when you are working from home.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are friendly, reliable, and helpful.I have had a better experience with my recruiter than many other people that I know. I would definitely recommend Claudia. Honestly I would just say that she is fantastic to work with and a really great person. You really need to trust the person that you are working with, especially since they make commission off of placing you. So if you don't really like or trust the person, there isn't much of an incentive to believe they have your best interest at heart. That's probably why I chose Claudia.
You guys had a lot of institutional knowledge regarding the field of law, especially big law, and making a lateral move. Kind of how to make yourself more marketable and things like that. A lot of that was actually really on point and really useful and helpful. I didn't really have a great mentor or contact kind in the location I was trying to move to, as I was trying to make a move to Houston. I didn't have anyone to bounce things of off and get feedback from. So you guys were really, really helpful on that.You guys really did take everything off of my plate, in terms of coordinating everything. I've worked with recruiters in the past who really didn't handle everything. In terms of getting my resume out there, facilitating interviews, and coordinating things you guys did all that for me and I really appreciated that. It allowed me to focus on my job.I would describe BCG as capable, efficient, and professional. I would rank BCG as number one. You guys were honest with me and Harrison was as well. I appreciated that he took the time to work with me.I think one of the biggest things I found out was how Harrison was. That was a big thing for me, because so many recruiters are just constantly out there trying to generate candidates. And while they are all very complimentary of me, all they have seen is my file on the firm website. Harrison was complimentary of me once when he reviewed my bio, but then after he had reviewed my resume and we had spoked a couple of times, I actually thought he was giving me honest feedback about things that I said, what the reality of me getting a job was in the market, and what my options were in the market. He also talked about what mattered and what didn't, kind of where I fit in based on the law school I went to, things like that. And that is really valuable, because you get so many calls and so many emails as an attorney at a large law firm about this stuff. Most of it's just fishing. So to have somebody that actually paid attention, once I gave him my information, and thought about it and gave me honest feedback was really valuable.
BCG got me a job that I still like. The recruiter I worked with was a good fit for me. I have good feelings about BCG. I referred you to a friend of mine and you did good by him too. [You are] by far the best [when compared to other recruiting companies].
