Nadeen, specifically, was my favorite thing about working with BCG. She was very responsive, she knew a lot of useful tips especially for interviewing, and was just a great experience with following up on interviews and always being available to help prepare, it was a very positive experience. Being able to have a huge list of potential opportunities was a huge help and having someone who would submit to those was really useful. BCG is the top of my list of recruiters because of technology and responsiveness and diligence, you were the best I've worked with.
One of the best things about working with BCG is the access to law firms that BCG has. BCG seems to be working with a lot of the top tier law firms in the country. Very exciting for me that I got Associate. The other thing I really liked about working with BCG was working with Amanda Mindlin. She has been the person I have been in contact with, in terms of just working with BCG. She has been really great. There are a few things about working with BCG that made my job search easier. Just knowing which firms are looking. A lot of firms are not going to post things on job boards. They may just reach out to a search firm like BCG for help, so that was one of the things that made it easier for sure. Another thing that helped was getting advice, interview advice, and being able to walk through with Amanda, just what the firms like to hear, what they don't like to hear, interview questions, thank you emails, things like that. BCG is one of the best legal recruiting firms.
BCG was very responsive and provided me the opportunities that I think were more specific to what I was actually looking for, than other recruiters and you guys had way more contacts and opportunities too. By finding the opportunities that I wouldn't have thought to contact and taking care of the initial reach out and cover letter and setting up the first interview was a huge help and also in negotiating my offer as well. I would say that BCG is the best, I am kindof biased because you helped me get the job.
I really appreciate that BCG kept me up to date on the openings and found those for me and tried to give me a quick summary of what those entailed. It really saved me a lot of time because I didn't have to look at different job boards to keep myself updated because someone else was doing that for me. BCG Attorney search is #1.

My recruiter was very responsive in communicating with me during the job hunt. Communication was huge. Someone else doing the work for you is great. It's hard to penetrate the market sometimes or to know about opportunities so it was great to have eyes and ears where you don't and I think BCG really helped me out by having a foot in the game, that was very helpful. I would for sure use BCG again if I ever needed to.
BCG was very responsive. The recruiter I worked with was candid, which was very helpful. BCG also helped me focus my search and also made me aware of opportunities I wouldn't have found otherwise. So I worked with Amanda, and she was great. I had a friend who was looking for a firm at the same time as me and I feel like his recruiter was a little pushy with him and we both had specific goals, and wanted to transition in to a field of law that we are not in right now. I feel like Amanda really listened to me in that respect and didn't try to push me toward any firm regardless of whether or not they had an active practice in the area of law that I would like to start practicing in. While my colleague who was working with a different recruiting firm had a very different experience where he felt like he was being pushed toward every and any firm and his recruiter wasn't really listening to what he wanted. I spoke with Amanda and told her what my goals were and provided her with my resume and transcripts, and she kind of just took it from there. She reached out to the all firms that I said okay to. It was very easy and I didn't really have to do anything. I have worked with one other recruiting company at first, and BCG was much better!
I really appreciated Jessica's responsiveness and how quickly she got me interviews and that I was able to get a job very quickly. She was easy to communicate with and was always available. The responsiveness of a recruiter makes a big difference. Other recruiters are slow to get back with you or take forever to provide new law firms so working with BCG made it very quick. I have only worked with one other recruiting company and you guys are certainly better than them.
Margaret Gilleran, the recruiter I worked with, was responsive. [The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are] attorney search and good. [I would] recommend [BCG to others].
[My favorite thing about BCG was] the communication, with everyone working together across markets and communicating with me as well...I mainly worked with Christina and she was very on top of everything. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable with interviews and knowing the process, so she helped me a lot with that...it was very responsive [and] took a lot of the time off my hands. Communicating with the firms and also handling some of the awkward conversation situations, being that middle person really helped [made my job search easier]. [The words that come to mind when I think of BCG are] friendly, professional, and top tier. I've worked with several recruiters and overall BCG was just much better. Based on the recruiting companies that I worked with I would say [you are] number one. And I've worked with someone at Parker Lynch, Wegman, and then a couple of other solo people. Each for different reasons, I think BCG was the best. [BCG] was very friendly and knowledgeable and responsive. They have good connections to the firms and a good brand for getting you out there and working for different firms to get you where you want to be.
I would say Becca's responsiveness and thoroughness with explanations providing as much contact as possible [was my favorite part of working with BCG]. I just left it in her hands. The only thing that I needed to do was to do great interviews. Other than that she managed all of it. [BCG is] very knowledgeable, [has] expertise, [and] you've got great staff in terms of their expertise as well as experience in the field. Also, I would just add that [I liked] the responsiveness and I liked the reporting thing that you do on a weekly basis. [BCG has] all the tools in place to make sure that the candidate has an up to date picture of what their candidacy looks like. [You are] by far the best and I have worked with lots. I would definitely recommend you guys. I would describe the company as thorough [and] knowledgeable. You know the field [and] have lots of information and resources that are available to candidates.
[My favorite thing about working with BCG was] the responsiveness. Jessica and Jennifer, who I worked with, were very hands on, on top of it, [and] very responsive. [The three words that come to mind when I think about BCG are] professional, personal, and quality. If you are looking for an organization or recruiting firm that has the systems and processes down go to BCG.
I worked with Becca and Christina primarily, but there were other recruiters involved who were very good. I think the best thing that they did that I noticed was different from other recruiters that I've worked with in the past is the strategic approach they took to send the applications in [and] send resumes in to a large number of places. I thought that made a lot of sense and it worked out really well. And they were great to work with. For me, it turned out I was kind of an unusual candidate. It turned out to be a very quick process...I wasn't expecting that. I think part of that was just because of the strategy of applying widely. I thought that was great. [When I think of BCG] honestly the first word that comes to mind is Harrison Barnes. [He is] one of the reasons I liked BCG before I got involved with you guys. He is kind of well-known in the law community. I've always liked his articles...there were one or two in particular that I had read, I think about getting back into big law after a leave that I think were very good and well put together...it kind of put me over the edge...that's what made me decide to reach out. I do have another recruiting friend. I think it's notable that I didn't go with his company for this. I've got another recruiter that I've worked with and they have even placed me in the past and I didn't go with them. I put you guys ahead of them in terms of just getting the job done. I would describe you guys as being very efficient [and] very focused on the end result, which is great. Again, I think the whole approach from the beginning was [to] get the best results in the most efficient way. I think that that's the right approach.
The communication was reasonably good and timely. I thought the woman I worked with was very professional and she was good at communicating in terms of following up in a reasonable amount of time. It worked and I'm here, so I am very happy as a result.
[My favorite thing about working with BCG was the] responsiveness of the person who was working with me. It's another resource. I am still doing everything else on LinkedIn and using other resources. But it's an additional resource that's able to reach out to companies on my behalf, perhaps in a way that I couldn't, with more formality. I probably [am] a little different than most people's experience. I was contacted by the recruiter, Katy Anderman, She was passed by the employer for finding a candidate for the position. I had not been looking to work with a recruiter or even look for another job outside of my current position. But it seemed like a good fit. Some of my favorite things were the recruiter herself was very personable, very informative, [and] very easy to work with and she really helped guide the process. I don't think she gave me any feedback on my resume or cover letter, but she did give me some information to help prepare for the interview. She gave me feedback after the interview, and was very helpful in helping me negotiate the final employment agreement. [BCG is] helpful, informative, and friendly. I would recommend you guys. If someone is looking for a new position, I would definitely recommend that they reach out to [you]. The person I worked with was great. It helps to rely on [a recruiter] to guide [you] through the process. It was a good experience.

I think probably the best thing was the quality of the listings and the comprehensiveness. It allowed me to concentrate more on the interviews and the subsequent parts of the process rather than all the applications. [I would describe BCG as] helpful [and] responsive. I would describe it as a good option if [you] want [a] recruiting position, particularly in the law firm stage.
I chose the person; it was Rebecca at BCG in particular because of the attention I knew that she was going to give. She gave daily hand holding attention, which is critical. That just made a big difference. And I chose her over someone, who I was told is the biggest name in the field. [I did this] because I knew I wanted someone who was going to be a cheerleader [as] opposed to somebody who just had some big name. [BCG] walked [me] through each step of the process. I was coming from a different career [and] different market and didn't really know how I should present myself or anything. I knew I had strengths but I didn't know how to package them for this kind of thing. I knew how to package them for a client, but not for a new place [of] employment. [I would describe BCG as] scrappy, hungry, [and] supportive. I would rank you highly. You need someone who is really going to walk each step of the way with you. You already have your own cache so you don't need some place to give you cache. You need someone who is going to explain the process [and] go through the ups and downs with you. That's what you [have] going.
[The best part was] the volume of applications you sent out in a very short period of time. [Working with BCG made my job search easier because] I found a job. [BCG is] efficient, professional, and responsive. I worked with one other local recruiter and BCG was much better.
I had burned through a bunch of recruiters who, after there was an initial flurry of excitement kind of fizzled out. Then I wouldn't hear from them until I heard from them. I really liked how BCG and especially Nadeen, the one that helped me, were reliable; they checked in, I got weekly reports. I knew that even if I didn't have an opportunity that week, I was still in her thoughts. I felt like I was well taken care of throughout the whole process. It seemed like Nadeen and BCG in general understood the market better and knew which firms were likely to hire and which firms were a no go. It just made the whole process a lot less frustrating. I was actually getting interviews with firms [instead of just] not hearing back at all. Not every interview worked out, but it was nice. It felt like I was targeting firms intelligently with BCG. [BCG is] competent, dependable, reliable, friendly, and takes time to understand [my] needs and concerns. [I would rank BCG] highest and first [compared to other recruiting firms]. I would say if you are looking for a lateral law firm move in the Boston area you guys are the best. You seem like you understand what is going on the best and have the best customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you guys to anyone.
What were some of my favorite things about working with BCG? One would be my recruiter Becca. I think she was honestly the best thing. I enjoyed the report that I got every week. For me, Becca made the experience. That's all I can really say. She was really responsive and always very positive. I also enjoyed getting the reports that let me know what was happening and what wasn't happening, who passed on me, who was interviewing me, [and] who was still sitting on my application. That was very useful and I enjoyed all that. But honestly I just liked my recruiter, a ton, from the beginning to the end. I think I may have gotten really lucky.How did working with BCG make my job search easier? To be honest you all did most of the work, I just went to the interviews when they came. One thing I did like is that I would get a pool of things that were available. I'm barred in a few states so it's kind of hard for me to search for a job in three different places. Also, Becca was able to let me know what was available in the three states I was interested in going to. From the firms that she found I was able to go to their websites and see what the department looked like and whether or not I really wanted to pursue any of those that were available. I think when you have three memberships in different states, that [using BCG] makes it a whole lot easier.The first three words that come to mind when I think about BCG are Becca, surprised, and success. I would say surprised because I learned much more about the company afterwards, so I was kind of nervous about being a part of it, but I thought it was pretty good. I would say success because I did get a job pretty quickly. I think it was six weeks.I worked with one other [recruiting firm] before and I have friends that have worked with them. Out of the ones that I have worked with personally you all were way better. I feel like I got more. At the other place if I contacted somebody I may not get a response all the time. [With] Becca, she was texting me and calling me [to keep me updated]. Anytime I would send something to her I would get a response within [about] an hour. Also, sometimes people don't like to give you bad news if you ask about it, but Becca was always open to letting me know what was going on. It seems like we were in the process together, which is very nice.If I were describing you to one of my peers I would say BCG is very professional and very efficient. You know that report you send every week? I received my report every Friday and it gave me some insight to what was going on. The other company I worked with didn't do that. I would say [you are] very efficient, and very up-to-date about what's going on. It's not like this process where you don't know what the recruiters [are] doing. I kind of had an idea of what Becca was doing. That made me feel a lot more comfortable because I felt like progress was being made. Even if I was getting denied or passed by, I still knew that my application was [getting sent] out [to] different places every week or that I was applying for one or two things every week. I guess that's the biggest thing. Becca was great. She was really responsive, and the reports just let me feel a little bit more at ease with what you all were doing and the places I was applying to. I was moving forward.
[BCG was] very friendly and very prompt in replying. It made it easier to narrow my search to what I was really looking for. You are ranked number one, because your results lead to employment. I would recommend you. I would describe you as professional and effective.
[BCG was] very professional. [You were] very insightful as far as preparing for interviews, [as] I got a lot of background information about the firms I was interviewing with. [You] placed me really quickly. I liked that. The person I was working with, Nadeen, was really helpful throughout the process. [You] made it a lot easier [and] basically took over my entire job search. I wasn't doing much else myself, other than my resume; I kind of relied on BCG. [You are] very professional. You guys [are] number one. You guys do really good work. You are professional, as I have stated a couple times, and easy to work with. You guys did a really good job.

My recruiter in New York has been great in facilitating my job search process and already identified several potential opportunities. If any of my peers are seeking opportunities in the legal field and will make great candidates, I will refer them to BCG.
It made it easy in that I really didn't have to look at postings on my own and I also didn't have to do the cover letter, which was super helpful. The firm that I got placed at, the HR rep, he used to work for BCG so there's already some sort of familiarity and something that was helpful going in and starting the process.

After my initial conversation with your recruiter, I knew I had made the right decision in deciding to work with him. He asked me a series of questions about my practice, my career interests, and my long terms goals. From this conversation, he identified several firms that he thought would be a good match for me. Over the course of the past year, I worked with over a dozen Boston area legal recruiters. Your recruiter turned out to be, by far, the best recruiter I found and was ultimately the one who placed me in a new position. The vast majority of recruiters I found worked off of a model which was, I believe, in direct opposition to my best interests as a candidate they started with a list of open positions and tried to force me into one of their existing profiles. He did the opposite; he spent a substantial amount of time with me at the beginning of the process and learned about my skill set and what I was looking for. He then wrote detailed introduction letters on my behalf, which he submitted not only to employers with posted positions but also to employers who were not hiring but who seemed like a good fit. In addition to being pleased with the amount of time and effort he invested in my search, I was impressed by his knowledge of the greater Boston legal market and understanding of how my specific skill set matched or didn't [match] available positions. He was a very pleasant person to work with and always responded quickly and helpfully to my questions. BCG's assistance with my job search was invaluable. Being relatively new to this city, I had some basic degree of knowledge regarding the personalities of the different firms in town; but my recruiter was able to fill in a lot of holes. His recommendations as to which firms would suit my interests and which seemed to be in the market for lateral associates with my qualifications were very sound. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Margaret during my job search. Not only was I looking to make a move to a new firm, but I was looking to move to a different city as well. I like that you guys have a website where you do postings. I think that is helpful because we can kind of see what's out there. Obviously you don't post the names, but I think even posting positions is a lot more than what other people tend to do. You can do it on your own time and look at the website when you want. They gave me a good set of listings, the web interface to approve postings was nice, and the ability to exclude specific firms from further consideration was also nice.They were [also] a good intermediary between me and the possible firms. They gave me good background information on the people I was talking with and provided me with some reading material that was helpful as well. [They were] hands on and communicative. [BCG was] the best of the [recruiters] I've worked with. [They were] easy to work with.
