Job Overview:

A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a skilled ERISA Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate should understand ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other relevant employee benefits laws, particularly in executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare benefits. Exceptional drafting and communication skills and a track record of academic excellence are highly desired. The candidate must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other pertinent employee benefits laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and participant communications.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare benefits.
  • Assisted in the resolution of disputes and litigation related to matters relating to employee benefits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience working with ERISA and employee benefits laws.
  • Strong understanding of executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare benefits.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research methods and databases.
  • Excellent drafting skills for legal documents and correspondence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
