A law firm is seeking a Benefits And Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience for their Philadelphia, PA office. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on employee benefits matters, such as qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, fiduciary governance, nonqualified plans, and advising on compensation and benefits issues in corporate transactions, including ESOP transactions. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, a can-do, problem-solving attitude, intrinsic motivation, and strong academic credentials are required. Large law firm benefits experience is preferred.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on employee benefits matters, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, fiduciary governance, and nonqualified plans.
  • Provide counsel on compensation and benefits issues in corporate transactions, particularly ESOP transactions.
  • Draft legal documents, including plan documents, employee communications, and transactional agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to employee benefits and executive compensation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive client solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or ability to become admitted.
  • 4-6 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA, tax, and securities laws related to employee benefits.
  • Experience working with large law firm clients preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or ability to become admitted.
