The BCG app is pretty convenient. I didn't use it a ton because I wasn't involved in the process for too long. You can go on and approve the jobs and the listings and the way it is set up is really nice. My legal placement professional was really great! Especially early on, she didn't contact me too much but reached out when there were good opportunities. The job I ended up taking wasn't one that was posted. It was an opportunistic job so I thought it was great that she went ahead and contacted places she had connections with anyway. She worked at a quick speed and I was under a time crunch with another opportunity and she really moved things along for me very quickly.It was helpful to have my legal placement professional there to ask questions about the firm. She had a lot of insider information that I probably wouldn't have gotten a lot of with my own research. In a traditional setting I would have tried to connect with someone at the firm or someone who used to work there but because of the time pressure everything happened within a week and she was able to give me a lot of details about individuals and the firm that was beneficial to me when I was interviewing. Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. My legal placement professional is the only recruiter that I have worked with that passed my information along without there being a job posting which I liked because, obviously, it ended up working out for me. It is a more aggressive, not in a negative sense, approach and especially given the circumstances in the economy and with the pandemic you need somebody like that right now. You need someone that will advocate strongly for you!Overall it was a very positive experience and I have recommended it to other people since. On the whole, I was very pleasantly surprised with the process and very happy with it. Nothing negative to report at all!

With respect to my legal placement professional specifically, I think she was very responsive, she was very proactive and seems like I got her attention and she was out there looking for opportunities for me. She was in a difficult position in part because I was working with 2 search firms before I touched base with her, so a lot of the obvious firms and opportunities were already being pursued by 2 other firms, so I wasn't expecting much, but I think she did a great job in thinking beyond the obvious opportunities and a little outside of the box, so to speak. I also wanted to mention that I appreciate the resources, brochures and publications by Harrison that provided a lot of insight in terms of interview tips and search strategies and things like that, which I found very valuable and was not something I was getting from the other 2 search firms that I had been working with. You guys handled a lot of the aspects of the logistics of setting up the interviews and getting quick feedback after interviews, definitely scouring the firms and opportunities available. In southern California, one thing that she did that I was not doing, was looking a little beyond LA which is where I was and was looking and I ended up in Orange Country which I am very happy about, so that was one thing that she did that definitely made things easier for me and ultimately more productive from the perspective of 1, getting to meet more firms and 2, finding the place I really liked the best. I have worked with a few search firms in the past, when I moved from DC to LA, but I really feel like BCG was really the best go to in terms of picking up a tough situation where I was already working with 2 search firms and thinking what value could they add at that point, also, the resources as I said, a lot of this is of Harrisons opinions and views on things which I talked about with my legal placement professional, whether he is right or wrong about these things, it's really good and valuable to have that view in the middle of the search process in terms of what the firms are looking for, what you should be looking for, what you should be thinking about, that to me really puts BCG above others and just based on the spring of this year, I was looking at so many different firms and job postings and it seems like BCG had so much more in terms of job postings and opportunities and contact.

My favorite thing about my legal placement professional was that she was extremely responsive through the entire process. She thought of creative ideas to get me into firms or get opportunities at firms, even during a pandemic. I really liked her and her approach. I have been a recruiter before and she did everything I would have done, if not better. She helped me prepare for interviews, she was just like my friend. We talked about stress eating cookies and things like that, it was funny. We had a really great time and I loved her so much. She did 100% of the work. She did inquires at law firms, and made the process more fun and seemed to understand me and what I was going through as a job searcher. The automated system was great, but sometimes it got annoying, so she would vet that for me. It seemed like it was it was personalized to me and what I was looking for. I was feeling a little down being a 2019er and losing my job and she made me feel like I was a great candidate or a great option and she gave me a lot more confidence going into interviews and things like that. I would rank BCG Attorney Search a 10! Right up there. I did talk to a couple of other recruiters in Seattle, and they sort of just let me down, like they didn't really try hard and didn't seem to think I was worth something, but she made me feel like I was worth something and kept working for me even when I said I was done and took another job in another state, she found me my dream job!

What were some of your favorite things about working with BCG and Carolina?

Extremely responsive. She was proactive in the sense of keeping up with me even if there wasn't anything new necessarily happening. She would reach out just to check in and let me know what she was doing. If I was having any issues she would talk me through it and send me BCG literature that was applicable to what I was going through.

Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

At the top - I reached out to the recruiting firm I got my first job through and they dropped the ball and basically told me there was nothing out there with the pandemic going on. Carolina was consistently sending me new openings and advocating on my behalf.
