Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Attorney in Houston, Texas, with substantial expertise in complex commercial real estate acquisitions and development. The ideal candidate will excel in negotiating and closing complex transactions, drafting construction-related agreements, and advising clients through all phases of development projects.

Duties

  • Lead and manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Advise clients on real estate development projects from inception through completion.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, leases, and related documents.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning, and land use analysis.
  • Coordinate and close complex real estate transactions.
  • Provide strategic counsel to developers, investors, landlords, and business owners.
  • Structure and negotiate real estate-related financing arrangements.
  • Advise on performance bonds, indemnity structures, and construction risk allocation.
  • Advise on site control agreements, ground leases, and utility agreements for infrastructure projects.
  • Support business development initiatives and expand market presence.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Significant experience in commercial real estate transactions and development.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or large-scale mixed-use projects preferred.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
