I thought my legal placement professional was really great. She didn't push me into one corner or another. I had some really aggressive experiences with recruiters, one of whom actually disclosed to people at the firm that I was looking to try to attract them as well and things like that. I really appreciated that she handled herself ethically. My experience was professional and above board. BCG did all of the work, and they really earned their commission. They were aggressive in contact, and from my experience they did everything I would have wanted them to do.Working with BCG made my job easier because they provided all the listings and I submitted [my choices]. They gave me advice regarding how to interview and things like that. It was very good. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are aggressive, large, and significant. I would rank BCG right at the top compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with. I'd recommend my legal placement professional. To me, just candidly, it is about the individuals. I was lucky to work with one of the best people, and I would recommend her. I think there were also great materials. To me it's 90% about your person and 10% about the firm.

Sarah responded to my initial inquiry very quickly. She was amiable, professional, positive and diligent throughout our interactions. She really connected with me on my unique situation and served as a guide throughout my entire process (which took a little over a year in total, including about 7 months while connected with Sarah). My recruiter was very responsive to any questions I had, always calling me back within hours if I left a voicemail. Moreover, his knowledge of the market in the Bay Area for lateral associates was nothing short of impressive. He gave me his assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of the practices at the various law firms, which my interviews confirmed. He also gave me insight into the cultures of the different firms and where I might find the best fit. In fact, the firm he thought would be the best fit for me proved to be the firm I chose to join, and I don't think I could have made a better choice. I recommend BCG Attorney Search wholeheartedly.

I really liked [BCG's] dashboard. I could see the firms I applied to, where I got interviews and so on. Lynn was an exceptional recruiter! She really helped me prepare for my interviews and also advised me on my resume. Her advice was instrumental in me getting the job.

I work full time so it is hard to balance that with a job search. Working with BCG made the process more streamlined. Basically I submitted my resume to Lynn and based on my conversation with her and my resume she created my cover letter and my application to the different firms so I gave her a data dump of my experiences and she packaged it to each firm based on their own criteria's.

I have never had such a positive experience with a search firm. You were a pleasure to work with. You had some very constructive advice, and I always enjoyed talking with you. I would, without hesitation, refer people to you.

I worked with Becca primarily, but there were other recruiters involved who were very good. I think the best thing that they did that I noticed was different from other recruiters that I've worked with in the past is the strategic approach they took to send the applications in [and] send resumes in to a large number of places. I thought that made a lot of sense and it worked out really well. And they were great to work with. For me, it turned out I was kind of an unusual candidate. It turned out to be a very quick process...I wasn't expecting that. I think part of that was just because of the strategy of applying widely. I thought that was great. [When I think of BCG] honestly the first word that comes to mind is Harrison Barnes. [He is] one of the reasons I liked BCG before I got involved with you guys. He is kind of well-known in the law community. I've always liked his articles...there were one or two in particular that I had read, I think about getting back into big law after a leave that I think were very good and well put together...it kind of put me over the edge...that's what made me decide to reach out. I do have another recruiting friend. I think it's notable that I didn't go with his company for this. I've got another recruiter that I've worked with and they have even placed me in the past and I didn't go with them. I put you guys ahead of them in terms of just getting the job done. I would describe you guys as being very efficient [and] very focused on the end result, which is great. Again, I think the whole approach from the beginning was [to] get the best results in the most efficient way. I think that that's the right approach.

I would like to thank my recruiter and BCG for all of their assistance in this process. My recruiter has been great; they are very professional, understand our business and, therefore, know what I am looking for. Over the last few months, I have worked with a number of recruiters, and I must say that my recruiter and their firm really stood out among them as one of the most professional. I truly enjoyed working with BCG.

Becca was very responsive to emails. I felt like I wasn't being pushed in terms of making a decision one way or another. I generally like the interface with being able to see the status of everything and a list of where all of my applications were under one room as opposed to everything being all over the place.

Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

A. I would say near the top in terms of responsiveness and being very up to date with everything.
