I'm glad to be working with my recruiters in California again, as they were very helpful in my 2010 job search.

The best thing about working with BCG Attorney search was getting the opportunity to now get the position that I am at. I didn't even really have to work too much, it was really just 'Here's a position you should go for' and so I would. BCG presented me with the perfect opportunity and that is what made this so easy. I just put my resume forth and you guys set everything up.

It was a very realistic process and that was very important in making decisions. BCG's interface is great to deal with and Annie was incredible to deal with! It was really helpful to have someone guide me through the process and be the go between, not just to establish the initial discussion with the firm, but to be the one to ask about different aspects of the role/firm. It gives me a buffer, and it doesn't look like I am the one asking. The whole process of communicating to the firms through Annie was very valuable. The technological tools you have are really great. Very efficient and informative. It was a great outcome! The place I am with is great and I am very happy with it. It is a good long term placement. Great experience and I don't think it would have been possible for me to be with this firm without BCG so I appreciate it.
Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

A. For my search I was contacted by other recruiting companies but [BCG] had the lead up on everything.

I liked how many resumes BCG sent out for me. I felt my resume was always going out and there was consideration put into what kinds of firms and locations I wanted to concentrate on. There was constant communication and updating on whether you were or weren't hearing back on my resume and the possibility of interviews getting scheduled so that was really nice- the level of communication.

I would be remiss if I did not tell you how valuable I believe it has been to work with my New York recruiter in this process. They made extremely constructive comments regarding my resume. I believe that my recruiter's comments markedly have improved the resume's content and its presentation. I cannot thank them enough.

My favorite thing overall was that it streamlined the process for me. [There is] no way I would be able to devote the time required to gather materials and put together cover letters and mass mail. It allowed me to work at my prior job and allowed the process to move forward even though I couldn't devote all my day to it.

Karen was very helpful and answered all of the many many questions I had. Iliked the ability that I had to contact her and she was easy to communicatewith and responded fast. It is really hard to search for job and work a fulltime job. Having her also on the lookout and having her do a lot of the work- from finding the job to passing my information along saved me so muchtime. Being an attorney and trying to do that takes up so much of your time.One thing I really appreciated that Karen did was when I did have the joboffer we had a pretty lengthy phone call just discuss the pro's & con's andmy worries about it and really just having a human to human talk about it.That was really helpful and great for me because it is always scary andexciting to accept a new job. I've read dozens of your articles over the years, and I recommend your site all the time to friends and family (including non-lawyers, because they can benefit from learning to see their careers from a business perspective). I have been unable to find a free database of information about the legal job market anywhere the internet that is in the same league in terms of depth of coverage. Your articles dig into every nuance imaginable about how to succeed in the legal marketplace, how to think about resume and cover letter drafting, how to get inside the head of partners, law firms, recruiters, clients, etc. Anyways, it's incredibly helpful.
