I love the ease of using BCG Attorney Search. It happened so easily and so quickly. I like how you guys sent the link with the proposed firms, and I got to mark up which ones that I was interested in and which ones I wasn't, I thought that was really convenient., the ease and convenience were my favorite thing. BCG is the top recruiting firm, so happy I got the job.

I think the number of firms I was able to get my resume in front of was my favorite thing about BCG Attorney Search. This opened up a lot of firms to consider my application. They did a lot of the work for me so that I could continue focus on my current job instead of spending all of my time dealing with recruiting. In terms of outcome, for me personally, BCG is number 1!

How quickly the process worked for me. Carleen and I started talking in October and I had interviews and got a job offer by late November, early December. It [using a recruiter] helped a lot! I was originally told not to use a recruiter because sometimes firms won't pay for the fee, but that was the wrong advice because I did a lot of job searching on my own and applying on my own and that led to absolutely nothing! The second that I started working with a recruiter I had immediate interest and interviews so obviously that network was really important. Especially for me coming out of state and not being licensed in CO yet, that made all the difference to me! Carleen is great! We didn't have a ton of communication because it wasn't necessary but anytime I needed her she was quick and just really lovely.Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's you may have used?A. In April, when I first started looking into moving to Colorado I started looking at recruiters and spoke to one. I told her exactly what I wanted out of a firm and was very descriptive and she immediately sent me back 4 or 5 firms and when I looked at them online I realized she was not listening to me. It's clear that she just wanted a big commission because these firms pay a lot more but they were just not what I am looking for and I got really frustrated. When I spoke with Carleen I felt like she really listed to exactly what I was looking for and knew the kind of firm I wanted. Also, it was really sweet - when I did get a job she reached out and was really nice about it and said she could tell I was really despairing and I am so glad we could help. I feel like she regarded me more as a person.

[My favorite thing about working with BCG Attorney Search was] that there was a level of contact every week. I have worked with other recruiters where basically you talk with them once and then you don't hear from them. So it was very nice that the recruiter that I worked with, Carleen, reached out to me at least once a week. I didn't have to do anything, it was great. She sent me the firms, I elected whether or not to put my hat in the ring and she drafted the cover letter. I was really able to sit back relax and wait and see what happened. [The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG Attorney Search are] helpful, professional, and successful. As of right now, [you are the] best [legal recruiting firm] I have worked with. [I would tell someone] that if they are looking for a legal job and if they would like to work with a recruiter I highly recommend they get in touch with you.

My favorite thing about working with BCG was Carleen's responsiveness and attentiveness to what I was looking for in a firm as well as her diligence, once I believed I had found the firm for me. Working with BCG helped remove some stress away from what is a daunting process. It allowed me to place my attention elsewhere, knowing that my search process was in good hands. I would rank BCG at the top amongst other recruiting companies I have worked with. Between Carleen's tenacity to find a job, I would enjoy as well, Harrison's thoughtful blog posts. BCG is a great support for any lawyer enduring the lateral search process.

My legal placement professional really helped me negotiate an unusual circumstance, in that I left Los Angeles and my husband and I wanted to take some time off before beginning a new job. I know that is kind of an unusual request and most law firms don't tend to like their candidates to do that. I made it clear that I had a particular start date and she had me negotiate and find somewhere that would work with that. That was certainly one of the most important aspects.It certainly made it [my job search] easier that I didn't have to look so hard and the opportunities came to me. I had asked she to keep an eye on the market for me and let me know when something came up. It wasn't on me to be constantly monitoring things; she would do that for me.

My legal placement professional took the time to really get to know me. We spent 20-30 minutes initially and she made the effort to understand me. She also was available anytime I had a question. She would report back really promptly. Anytime I had a question, no question was too small, there was no question she couldn't answer and it made me feel really good about the process, that was one of my favorite things. She was very knowledgeable and it made me feel really comfortable. Another thing, I had a unique situation and instead of balking at it, she embraced it and said that we could figure it out, and she did. One great part was that I had a liaison between myself and the firm, which made it much more comfortable for me so that I didn't feel like I was bombarding them with questions. Having the recruiter do it, you know, she has all of the experience she knew how to deal with the firms, that is what she has done with her career, so that was nice as I didn't have to reach out directly about anything. BCG is much more attentive than other search firms, and when I search again, I will certainly be reaching out to BCG to see if my legal placement professional is available.

Sarah is just a great spirited person and very energetic and lots of great ideas. She kept everything going and on the ball. BCG has a really great computer generated programs that really keep you motivated and keep you focused on what you are doing and Sarah worked will with it to keep your focus. I think that is what really sets [BCG] apart! I haven't used a recruiter in a while but from what I recall no one has had a system like that in the past and you guys really stand out in that regard.[BCG made my job search] a million times easier! You really took the burden of digging off of me and presented a lot of firms that I would have never thought of - including the place I am going to. I started this process slowly a couple years ago and I recently started it up again with Sarah - in the meantime I had reached out to a couple other New York based recruiter's and had some really negative experiences with them. They would tell me that since I had been in house for the past couple years and since I hasn't been as active and don't have an active client base and they pretty much just told me I was "out to pasture" and Sarah had a totally different take on that. She would tell me "don't worry about it, we're going to get through this and find your place" and sure enough I did. Not only that, I found a place that I didn't ever think I could be as happy with the situation I am in. Sarah also advised me well when I had multiple offers at the same time; she really helped me navigate that process. She did an excellent job from start to finish. I appreciate that she cared about me and not just her fee. It was really about me and that is RARE! She really encouraged me to apply to places that were good for me for where I am in my life and she also did a lot of research on the firms before sending me there.
