Everyone was so prompt in their communication with me, everyone kept up with me and made sure to notify me if there was an update throughout the whole process and it felt as if I was included in the process every minute of the way and I wasn't left guessing about the status of anything. This made my job search easier because it was so streamlined and having a place to go to in order to update my resume, having my writing samples and transcripts in one location to send off to different employers, instead of me having the access and having to do that myself and making sure I had the correct or updated resume or transcript on file. That made everything easier having the portal, the website really streamlined. You would rank a 10! 10, 10, 10. You all were the best! I worked with 2 other recruiters in the past and to this day, I haven't even heard from them, not even a phone call or email to check in on me. I am so happy I found you all, I am just so happy!

She was on it and didn't pester too much but stayed in contact. She didn't just communicate via email, she also sent texts so that gives a little more of a personal touch. It makes it seems like things are moving and they actually care and that you aren't just one out of a million applicants. I know that is a hard thing to balance for recruiters. They are either not on it or they are pestering you all of the time, one of the two. She found the right balance of that.

You have a nice online portal where you can pick the firms that you want to apply to and reject the ones that you already applied to or plan on doing yourself. I thought that was a nice feature. I have worked with a bunch of other companies and nobody else has anything like that. It is usually just email communications and a lot of times they won't even tell you who the firm is so you are just wasting your time talking to people when they won't let you know. It is kind of a waste of time to go back and forth if you have already applied there or you don't want to work there so.

Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's you have used?

A. I would put you at the top! I also thought a lot of the emails that you sent out to everybody were pretty helpful with tips and pitfalls to avoid, the interview process and making partner and all those sorts of things. I think those emails are really helpful to read.

As a new attorney with less than a year of experience, I was skeptical that BCG could help me. I thought one needed an established practice to leverage a legal recruitment service. Thankfully, I was proved wrong. Almost immediately, I was interviewed for positions matching my aspirations. Moreover, it was a pleasure working with my legal placement professional. They were very helpful throughout the process; they found opportunities that interested me, provided helpful resources, and coached me for interviews. Overall, a good experience and will recommend.

I remember that Harrison Barnes called me pretty soon after I reached out to him, or pretty soon after we agreed to work together and talked to me over the phone. That was good. [You have] all the resources and connections that are required to put you into the circle of firms that I would expect to be shopped to. That was definitely a positive thing.

I liked the recruiters that I worked with at BCG, they were very responsive. They did what it took to get me a job. It made my job search much easier because you guys did all the work and I could work on other things.

[My favorite thing about working with BCG was] great about getting interviews. I have worked with other recruiters before and independently and I had little success getting interviews and Becca was great and consistently ensuring that I was actively involved in the process. I liked how she coached me or gave me the option for a call prior to each interview. That was a helpful touch that I hadn't experienced with other recruiters.

How did working with us make you job search easier?

I worked full time, 9-10 hours a day, so knowing and being confident that Becca was working behind the scenes made it easier for me to still perform my job well but also have access to opportunities. I liked that fact that there were all kinds of lists of firms available. And to go back to my first point, I really trusted Becca because I was constantly having interviews so she was definitely working on my behalf and all I had to do was show up for the interviews. It was a great accommodation of my schedule.

Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?

The best! The best in terms of advice, giving different options, and again, getting all of the interviews. Out of the other recruiters I worked with Becca is definitely the best.

I guess that whenever I had any questions, or I wanted to talk to somebody about a potential interview or something my legal placement professional, who was helping me, would always return a call, a text, or an email almost immediately. It was so easy to stay in touch with her, and I felt like she was very, very focused on helping me and was always available. My legal placement professional really helped me negotiate an unusual circumstance, in that I left Los Angeles and my husband and I wanted to take some time off before beginning a new job. I know that is kind of an unusual request and most law firms don't tend to like their candidates to do that. I made it clear that I had a particular start date and she had me negotiate and find somewhere that would work with that. My legal placement professional made the process very simplified for me. She explained everything step by step and didn't get annoyed when I had silly or stupid questions, I really used her a lot throughout the process. She read through my writing sample, she wrote cover letters for me, anytime I would email back and forth with a law firm I would send the email to her and have her read it over first.
