Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney to play a pivotal role in handling complex civil litigation matters, focusing on employment litigation. The candidate will provide legal representation, counsel clients, and contribute to the firm's visibility. The position requires an active California Bar license, strong analytical and writing skills, and 1-3 years of attorney experience. Preferred qualifications include experience in employment law and/or employment litigation.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters, specializing in employment litigation.
• Provide legal representation to clients, assess facts, and counsel clients appropriately.
• Engage in litigation defense or prosecution of civil claims.
• Respond to client concerns to enhance and retain business relationships.
• Participate in industry organizations and affiliated committees to increase the firm's visibility.
• Represent the firm both internally and externally.
• Support the legal and management goals of the department.
• Make court appearances and attend meetings in Orange County and the Inland Empire.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree and an active California Bar license.
• Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• 1-3 years of attorney experience.
• Experience in employment law and/or employment litigation is preferred.
• Experience with ProLaw or other billing and document management programs is desired.
• The annual hourly billing minimum is 1600 hours.
