A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Employment Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in practicing management-side employment law. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in drafting employment-related agreements and policies, conducting workplace investigations, and counseling clients on various employment law matters. Additionally, the candidate should possess significant experience in handling complex litigation matters, including single-plaintiff, class actions, PAGA representative actions, and complex employee mobility disputes. Experience providing employment-related support for corporate transactions is a plus. Exceptional academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly are required.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in management-side employment law matters.
  • Draft and review employment-related agreements and policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations and advise clients on appropriate actions and resolutions.
  • Counsel clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and employee mobility.
  • Handle complex litigation matters, including single-plaintiff, class actions, PAGA representative actions, and disputes related to employee mobility.
  • Collaborate with corporate transaction teams to provide employment-related support during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations and provide proactive advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience practicing management-side employment law.
  • Extensive experience in drafting employment-related agreements and policies.
  • Proven ability to conduct workplace investigations and provide sound advice to clients.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and employee mobility.
  • Experience handling complex litigation matters, including single-plaintiff, class actions, PAGA representative actions, and employee mobility disputes.
  • Previous experience providing employment-related support for corporate transactions is a plus.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the California State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
