A law firm is seeking a Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney for their Raleigh, NC office.

Job Overview:

The Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney will support various aspects of benefits and compensation law, including qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice and strong communication, legal analysis, and advocacy skills.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and counsel on benefits and compensation matters.
  • Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements related to benefits and compensation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex benefits and compensation issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on client matters, including M&A transactions and ERISA litigation.
  • Support the firm's clients in navigating issues related to withdrawal liability.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • Experience with qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Experience supporting benefits and compensation in M&A transactions and ERISA litigation is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing, oral advocacy, communication, and legal analysis skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
