A law firm in New York City is seeking an Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in executive compensation arrangements, equity compensation plans, and tax qualified plans, particularly in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Strong academic credentials, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in document drafting are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on executive compensation arrangements
  • Draft and review equity compensation plans
  • Provide legal counsel on tax qualified plans
  • Assist in the negotiation and implementation of executive compensation agreements
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to executive compensation issues
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on transactional matters
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including agreements, contracts, and disclosures

 

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in executive compensation law
  • Comparable law firm experience preferred
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong document drafting abilities

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in executive compensation arrangements and equity compensation plans
  • Knowledge of tax qualified plans and related regulations
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Legal research proficiency
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document drafting
