Employee Benefits Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Employee Benefits Associate Attorney for their New York City office. The Employee Benefits Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research and analysis, performing due diligence, drafting employee benefit and executive compensation plans and arrangements, and communicating with colleagues, clients, and other counsel.

Duties:

• Conducting legal research and analysis in the field of Employee Benefits law
• Performing due diligence
• Drafting employee benefit and executive compensation plans and arrangements
• Drafting related sections of M&A transaction documents
• Communicating and corresponding with colleagues, clients, and other counsel

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters
• Top academic credentials and a stellar law firm employment history
• Admission to practice law in the state of New York

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Bachelor’s degree

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the state of New York

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research primarily in Employee Benefits law
• Ability to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
