A law firm in Washington D.C. seeks a Mid-level Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employee benefits and executive compensation matters, particularly related to private and public company M&A transactions and associated tax issues. This position requires collaboration with the public company securities practice, providing support for all aspects of SEC disclosures related to executive compensation. Additional experience in general compensation and benefit plan matters is highly welcome.

Duties:

  • Handle employee benefits and executive compensation matters related to private and public company M&A transactions.
  • Address tax issues associated with executive compensation.
  • Support all aspects of SEC disclosures related to executive compensation within the public company securities practice.
  • Provide expertise in general compensation and benefit plan matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of employee benefits and executive compensation experience.
  • J.D. degree.
  • Admitted to practice in Washington D.C.
  • Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Strong knowledge of tax issues associated with executive compensation.
  • Experience with SEC disclosures related to executive compensation.
  • Legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
