Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of employment litigation experience, particularly in single plaintiff actions involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other areas of California labor and employment law. Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation cases, focusing on single-plaintiff actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on California labor and employment law matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials.
  • Manage discovery processes and document production.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of employment litigation experience.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • Strong understanding of California labor and employment laws.
  • Proven experience in single-plaintiff actions involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, etc.
  • Ability to conduct complex fact investigations and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Trial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
