A law firm located in Los Angeles is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience defending federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions. The ideal candidate will have experience handling investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies. Additionally, experience appearing before the National Labor Relations Board regarding matters related to union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, union elections, and arbitrations, as well as handling employment litigation in federal and state court, is required. The candidate must have a JD from an ABA accredited law school and be admitted to practice in California.

 

Duties:

  • Handle investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies.
  • Appear before the National Labor Relations Board regarding matters related to union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, union elections, and arbitrations.
  • Handle employment litigation in federal and state court.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents for court filings.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and other proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
  • Manage case files and documentation.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment law matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in California.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience defending federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions.

 

Education:
