Mid-level Environmental Litigation Associate Attorney

San Diego office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid-level environmental litigation associate attorney with 4-6 years of environmental experience. The candidate will join the high-volume, complex, and varied environmental litigation and compliance practice in the US. Must have substantial background and experience in litigation. Environmental law knowledge commensurate with career experience is required, including CERCLA, RCRA, and analogous California and/or other state laws and common law. Should have good experience in administrative law and interacting with environmental regulators. Should have comfort with the technical aspects of environmental operations and remediation, and experience working with environmental consultants. Experience with sediment-based contamination and remediation is a plus. Must have experience representing clients in heavy industries, defense industries, chemical manufacturing, and/or maritime industries. Admission to the California or Washington, D.C. Bar is preferred.

The candidate should possess excellent legal writing skills, initiative and ownership of projects and matters, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Must have transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.
