A law firm in Sydney, Australia, is actively seeking a highly experienced Projects and Construction Special Counsel to assist clients, including developers, lenders, contractors, and government entities, on various front-end matters and large-scale projects. The role involves advising, drafting, liaising with clients, negotiating, and contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.

Duties

  • Project Documentation: Advise and draft a comprehensive range of project documentation, including concession agreements, project deeds, EPC/construction contracts, operation and maintenance/facilities management agreements, interface agreements, consultancy agreements, supply and offtake agreements, long-term services agreements, and lenders' direct agreements.
  • Client Assistance: Liaise with clients, providing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Negotiations: Assist in negotiations to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, fostering client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing efforts to enhance the firm's presence in the projects and construction sector.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of post-qualification experience in a construction or projects practice.
  • Client Liaison Skills: Strong ability to liaise effectively with clients to understand and address their needs.
