Health Liability Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Sydney is seeking a qualified Health Liability Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending large, complex health claims across various medical specialties and jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, District Court, and Coroners Court in both New South Wales and Queensland. The successful candidate should possess excellent written, drafting, and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to manage a busy practice.

Duties:

• Act in the defense of large, complex health claims in a variety of medical specialties.
• Handle cases in the Supreme Court, District Court, and Coroners Court of both New South Wales and Queensland.
• Demonstrate a strong desire to work on challenging health liability litigation cases.
• Effectively manage a busy practice, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in health liability litigation.
• Proven experience in handling complex health claims.
• Familiarity with the legal landscape in both New South Wales and Queensland.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in New South Wales and Queensland.
