A fast-growing, client-focused personal injury law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Lake Charles, Louisiana office. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and play a central role in litigation efforts while delivering outstanding client service. Location:

  • Lake Charles, Louisiana

Duties:

  • Serve as advocate and legal counsel to clients from case intake through resolution

  • Provide updates to clients on case status, medical treatment, and legal strategy

  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel

  • Review and approve correspondence, pleadings, and discovery

  • Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in trial preparation

  • Guide paralegals and support staff with case-related tasks

  • Maximize settlement and verdict amounts through detailed case analysis

  • Review medical records, billing statements, and evaluate damages for negotiation or litigation

  • Follow and complete tasks within firm-established Matter Plans

  • Contribute to client satisfaction and firm-wide success

Requirements:

  • 1–5 years of litigation experience preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and sound judgment

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated professionalism and confidentiality in client matters

  • Self-motivated with a collaborative and service-oriented approach

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar

  • Admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Effective time management and task prioritization

  • Proficiency in legal research and case analysis

  • Ability to empathize with clients and maintain professionalism

  • Comfortable with legal software, Microsoft Office, and document review tools
