Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate to support its national litigation practice, particularly focusing on complex pharmaceutical and medical device matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with Daubert and Rule 702 motions and strong legal writing capabilities. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile cases with a collaborative and nationally recognized litigation team.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Review and draft discovery responses, motions, memoranda, and briefs

  • Communicate with clients and manage expectations professionally

  • Work closely with expert witnesses and prepare for testimony

  • Assist in developing case strategy and factual investigations

  • Participate in depositions and support trial preparation

  • Supervise junior attorneys and collaborate with litigation teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm

  • Demonstrated experience with Rule 702 of the Federal Rules of Evidence and Daubert motions

  • Background in products liability litigation

  • Experience with pharmaceutical and medical device industry litigation preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic performance preferred from nationally recognized institutions

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction

  • Admission to the New York Bar encouraged but not required

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Sound business judgment and problem-solving approach

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills
