After graduating from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, she spent more than four years as an associate in the financial restructuring department of one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious law firms, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. She also spent more than five years as an in-house attorney at Oaktree Capital Management, LLC, a well-respected registered investment adviser based in Los Angeles. Her experience both as a law firm associate and an in-house attorney has provided her with great exposure to, and consequently a broad knowledge of, the law firms on the West Coast. Her experience also provides her with a unique perspective on the different pressures and challenges in a variety of legal environments. Gloria was also a member of Milbank's summer recruiting and hiring committees. Thus, she has great insight into the recruiting and decision-making processes at law firms.
