I worked with a different recruiter before I worked with BCG Attorney Search, and the difference was like night and day. My recruiter was very responsive to any questions I had, always calling me back within hours if I left a voicemail. Moreover, his knowledge of the market in the Bay Area for lateral associates was nothing short of impressive. I liked that you gave me a big list of firms [and] that I could check the ones I wanted [and uncheck] the ones I didn't want. I liked that you contacted me a lot. I worked a lot via text. That was easy for me to do discretely at work. I liked being constantly updated. When I had two offers I really appreciated that you [did] some negotiating for me between the two. It made it easier because I didn't feel like I had to spend all this time running through LinkedIn or Indeed or job sites. It made my search easier because it's nice when I see a big list of firms that potentially might have openings because [then] I get an idea of who's looking [and] what the market [is] like right now. And then of course everything was coordinated for me. So I could spend more time at my current job or just doing other things rather than just spending all my time emailing back and forth with HR management at various firms. I would say [BCG is] effective, friendly, and positive. I have worked with a couple recruiting companies and I would rank you as number one. I would describe you as having a really wide range. [You are] very aggressive in getting results, being very results oriented. I would [also] say [you are] modern and innovative. [You] clearly approach recruiting in a way that I think makes a lot of sense and is targeted to get results.

I thought my legal placement professional was really great. She didn't push me into one corner or another. I had some really aggressive experiences with recruiters, one of whom actually disclosed to people at the firm that I was looking to try to attract them as well and things like that. I really appreciated that she handled herself ethically. My experience was professional and above board. BCG did all of the work, and they really earned their commission. They were aggressive in contact, and from my experience they did everything I would have wanted them to do.Working with BCG made my job easier because they provided all the listings and I submitted [my choices]. They gave me advice regarding how to interview and things like that. It was very good. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are aggressive, large, and significant. I would rank BCG right at the top compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with. I'd recommend my legal placement professional. To me, just candidly, it is about the individuals. I was lucky to work with one of the best people, and I would recommend her. I think there were also great materials. To me it's 90% about your person and 10% about the firm.
