BCG Attorney Search Reviews

Thanks to BCG, I made a smooth and quick transition from my prior firm to my current firm. My recruiter was attentive to my preferences; her recommendations were realistic and on target; and she did everything except attend the interviews. I've heard that a job search can be extraordinarily stressful, but this one wasn't. I'm ecstatic in this new position and owe it largely to BCG!

Thank you very much for creating these programs to help legal professionals. I've watched a couple of webinars, videos and read the book "Attorney Job Search Secrets Revealed". I found these materials very inspiring and valuable.

[BCG] made it easy to review potential employers, [and it was an] easy process. I got interviews with employers I wouldn't have otherwise considered or known about. [BCG is] simple and efficient. [BCG ranks] first [compared to other search firms]. [BCG is] simple and effective.

My favorite thing about BCG is that they are very proactive, and they also are always a step ahead. When I worked with them they were always giving regular updates, I never had to follow up with anything. They were very responsive, and if I ever had questions they were always there when I needed help. I guess most importantly, they were very informative and they kind of gave me advice throughout the whole process. I've used other recruiters before and they haven't been as honest or informative as BCG was.Working with BCG made my job search easier because they were honest and upfront. They gave me all the information that I needed, and were available throughout the whole process. Whenever I had questions they were there to answer them. They were also really helpful when it came to negotiating offers. That's when a lot of candidates need someone to step in and negotiate on their behalf, and I think they did a wonderful job in that respect.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are reliable, helpful, and informative.If I was describing BCG to my peers, I would say if they had to make one phone call, they should make sure that that phone call was to BCG, absolutely, without a doubt. My experience with them has been really good. I have absolutely no qualms recommending them to anybody else.

My recruiter was referred to me through a friend after I had attempted to work with several other recruiters with unhappy results. I was trying to do what many of them thought was nearly impossible - not only switch practice areas, but also transition back into Big Law after several years of not practicing law at all. Unlike other recruiters who'd quickly given up, my recruiter stayed positive, optimistic, and encouraging about my goal. I love that I didn't have to do a lot of the searching myself. I didn't have to get the materials together like the cover letter and things like that, she just listened while we had a short conversation about what I was interested in and she checked off all the boxes and she found places that matched my criteria. The second part was the preparation she gave me for actually interviewing and how to do it with acceptance. From 1-10, I would give BCG a 10. I wasn't stressed at all, I didn't have to put forth any hours searching for anything, like I said, just being able to tell my legal placement professional everything I wanted and for her to come back with opportunities that matched that criteria, did like 90% of the work for me. BCG is number 1.

I thought that my recruiter, was exceptionally professional and was always very quick with her responses. I never really had to wait. When she explained things I'd ask lots of questions and she never seemed like she was impatient with the process. I really enjoyed working with her. I liked the weekly updates. It was easy for me to keep track of the places I had applied to and the status. I also liked being able to go in and check the website. The third thing I liked was the large network of firms that you guys have an association with. I was able to apply to many, many places using one recruiter, which was nice.I feel like after one initial 30-40 minute phone call with my legal placement professional she kind of took the reins from there. Whenever I decided I wanted to apply to more places she did it for me. So it was a huge help not having to prepare materials and cover letters and things like that for all of these different places. I just said I'd like to apply to these extra places and she'd do it. This made the process much easier for me.I think of BCG Attorney Search as extremely professional. I would say I was really impressed with them. I talked with some other recruiters and they all just seemed much more casual and dismissive and not quite as important. I feel like my legal placement professional was exceptionally professional.Among other recruiting companies I have worked with, I would say BCG ranks at the top.I would recommend that other attorneys look into you specifically if they are looking to make a move or at least get a feel for the market. From my experience you guys are patient, have lots of relationships, and do a good job presenting candidates and being intermediaries. I would definitely recommend that they consider BCG.

In May 2011 I sent an inquiry to BCG Attorney Search indicating my desire to find new employment as a litigation associate. I was promptly contacted by my Los Angeles recruiter, and couldn't have been luckier. My recruiter worked tirelessly to help me find the right firm, counseled me through the interview process and was a wonderful sounding board for me to ask questions about the recruiting/interview process and legal market. Sarah responded to my initial inquiry very quickly. She was amiable, professional, positive and diligent throughout our interactions. She really connected with me on my unique situation and served as a guide throughout my entire process (which took a little over a year in total, including about 7 months while connected with Sarah). Conversations with her gave me confidence and encouragement. Sarah was instrumental in getting me a job.
