BCG Attorney Search Reviews

I would like to thank my recruiter and BCG for all of their assistance in this process. My recruiter has been great; they are very professional, understand our business and, therefore, know what I am looking for. Over the last few months, I have worked with a number of recruiters, and I must say that my recruiter and their firm really stood out among them as one of the most professional. I truly enjoyed working with BCG.

I think the list of firms available was helpful. The text message follow ups were helpful too. [Working with BCG made my job easier because] you found me places to interview at. [BCG was] thorough, helpful, [and] responsive. [I would rank BCG] at or near the top [compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with]. [BCG is] a good recruiting company.

My legal placement professional reached out to me on a cold email and I looked her up and we had similar backgrounds so I called her and she made the process really simple. She had me send her my resume, transcript and a writing sample and she sent me a list of firms in a couple days. She made it really easy and it was pretty chill, uncomplicated and easy to understand. Very straight forward. On the BCG front, I appreciated having a bajillion articles on a bunch of different topics that I tend to think about. The liked the app and having all of these resources and articles was very helpful. What I appreciate the most about she is her tenacity and it isn't overbearing. I am sure there are recruiters that are tenacious with a hammer but she is tenacious with a scalpel.A bit of my story with BCG and being hired at Mayer Brown - at first the recruiting manager said they would pass on me and gave a reason, my GPA. My legal placement professional explained to me that they normally don't give a reason and the fact that he did give a reason opened a door for her to chime in and give her perspective to counter their point. Because of that they passed my resume onto the rest of the firm and then I was able to seal the deal through the interview process. She's willingness to do that is really great. I think it is super easy for people to just move on because they already said no. What was great about my legal placement professional is that Mayer Brown was a huge reach for me to get and I feel really lucky; and she knew that and that the chances were low but despite that she doubled down and told the firm why they should consider me. It think it is a testament to her character. Most people would be like "I knew he wasn't going to get it anyway so if I doubled down it won't help the situation since the chances are low so I am just going to move on and use my time more strategically". The fact that she did that changed the course of my career and it meant a lot! She was super friendly, always available no matter the time or day via text or email or call. If I wanted a call she was available right away, no question about it. What I appreciate about my legal placement professional is that she was super supportive and very encouraging. I don't think she just saw me as a job or a box she needed to check. She was interested in who I was as a person and the encouragement she offered me was very tailored. Some people offer general encouragement because that is what you are supposed to do and that can come across as insincere but she provided me with encouragement that wasn't overblow and was very specific to who I was. When she had doubts, she told me she had doubts but at the end of the day she reminded me that I was a good candidate and there can be a win for me. She reminded me that I have a lot to offer. This process is extremely stressful and her being so encouraging made this process a lot easier, so I am really grateful for that.

I thought that because BCG was a larger recruiting firm that service would not be as personable--I was so very wrong and am SO glad I gave BCG a chance. Becca Levine was so great. It was easy and pleasurable to work with her and she was so responsive--I felt like I was her only client.I simply would not have the job I do today [if not for BCG]. I had worked with other recruiters for 6+ months before working with BCG and accepted my current position within about a month after working with Becca.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are effective, personable, and diligent.I would rank you at the very top [compared to other recruiting companies]. While I cannot attest that every recruiter is as wonderful as Becca, her dedication and commitment to finding me a new position was unparalleled and working with her was an incredibly positive experience.

I worked with Becca primarily, but there were other recruiters involved who were very good. I think the best thing that they did that I noticed was different from other recruiters that I've worked with in the past is the strategic approach they took to send the applications in [and] send resumes in to a large number of places. I thought that made a lot of sense and it worked out really well. And they were great to work with. For me, it turned out I was kind of an unusual candidate. It turned out to be a very quick process...I wasn't expecting that. I think part of that was just because of the strategy of applying widely. I thought that was great. [When I think of BCG] honestly the first word that comes to mind is Harrison Barnes. [He is] one of the reasons I liked BCG before I got involved with you guys. He is kind of well-known in the law community. I've always liked his articles...there were one or two in particular that I had read, I think about getting back into big law after a leave that I think were very good and well put together...it kind of put me over the edge...that's what made me decide to reach out. I do have another recruiting friend. I think it's notable that I didn't go with his company for this. I've got another recruiter that I've worked with and they have even placed me in the past and I didn't go with them. I put you guys ahead of them in terms of just getting the job done. I would describe you guys as being very efficient [and] very focused on the end result, which is great. Again, I think the whole approach from the beginning was [to] get the best results in the most efficient way. I think that that's the right approach.
