Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for their Sacramento, CA office.

Job Overview:

• Manage insurance defense matters, focusing on bodily injury, construction defect, employment, or other insurance defense proceedings.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a strong legal team.
• Utilize creative thinking to address the unique needs of a diverse client base.
• Prioritize delivering exceptional customer service.
• Direct legal strategy with the autonomy to litigate according to individual style preferences.

Duties:

• Handle insurance defense cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant case law and statutes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in California and good standing with the State Bar.
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Experience managing insurance defense matters preferred.
• Additional licensure in other states is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
