Duties

• Review and assess new case files to establish strategy, budgets, and recommendations

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Manage document production and prepare discovery responses

• Attend depositions, hearings, and other litigation-related events, providing detailed reports

• Negotiate settlements and obtain necessary case authority

• Prepare cases for trial as needed

• Maintain effective communication with paralegals and legal support staff

• Collaborate with other attorneys and team members on complex legal matters

Requirements

• 1–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (required)

• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced legal setting

• Proactive work ethic with strong organizational and time management skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (Required)
