Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney to manage a high-volume docket of premises liability cases. The role is ideal for a driven legal professional with substantial trial experience, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service. The selected candidate will play a key role in all phases of litigation, from intake to trial resolution, while benefiting from robust in-house support and cutting-edge resources.

Duties:

• Handle a dynamic caseload of approximately 150 files, with roughly 50 active litigation cases at any given time

• Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies from case intake through verdict or resolution

• Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, attend mediations, and negotiate settlements

• Serve as lead attorney in jury trials, preparing opening statements, examining witnesses, and delivering closing arguments

• Maintain consistent, clear communication with clients regarding case status, procedures, and outcomes

• Collaborate closely with assigned case managers and paralegals to maximize workflow efficiency

• Utilize firm technology tools, including proprietary AI systems, to draft legal documents and manage case files

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation (5-8 years preferred)

• Active license in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar

• Demonstrated experience with jury trials, including at least 5 first-chair verdicts (10+ strongly preferred)

• Deep familiarity with North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence

• Confidence in trial settings and a willingness to take cases to verdict when necessary

• Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on clear communication and strategic thinking

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina

• Admission to additional State Bars is a plus
