Senior Advice and Counsel Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Advice and Counsel Employment Associate Attorney to focus on providing advice and counseling to clients regarding employment law issues and dispute resolution. The role involves counseling clients on various employment matters, including drafting policies, handbooks, and employment agreements, and providing deal support, leave of absence, restrictive covenants, and investigations.

Duties:

• Provide advice and counseling to clients on employment law issues
• Draft policies, handbooks, employment agreements, and other employment-related documents
• Support clients in employment-related deals and negotiations
• Advise on leave of absence, restrictive covenants, and investigations
• Stay updated on federal and New York employment laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 6+ years of employment law experience
• Membership or pending membership in the New York State Bar
• Substantial advice and counseling experience
• Broad understanding of federal and New York employment laws and regulations
• Preferably, the majority experience in an employment practice group or employment-only law firm

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Membership or pending membership in the New York State Bar
