Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably with a background in higher education. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work directly with clients and develop effective service strategies. The candidate must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law matters.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Assist with deposition preparation and participate in witness interviews.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment-related issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and projects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Experience in higher education law is highly desirable.
• Superior verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients.
