Senior Labor & Employment Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Attorney with extensive experience in labor and employment law. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment matters including litigation, policy development, and client advisory. The role is ideal for an attorney who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about representing employers across industries.

Location:

• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Duties:

• Advise employers on workplace matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination

• Draft and review employment policies and handbooks in compliance with applicable labor laws

• Represent clients in litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions

• Take and defend depositions and participate in administrative hearings

• Conduct internal investigations and employee trainings

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to HR departments and company leadership

• Collaborate with firm colleagues across practice areas on complex employment issues

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in labor and employment law

• Demonstrated experience with litigation and client counseling

• Ability to handle cases independently, including drafting and responding to legal filings

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws

• Experience representing clients before administrative agencies (preferred)

• Excellent legal judgment and attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic record preferred

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania

Skills:

• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent communication and client service abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong work ethic
