Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A growing civil defense law firm based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Senior Litigation Attorney with 2–3 years of experience in insurance defense. The ideal candidate will possess trial experience and a strong understanding of civil litigation, including personal injury, property damage, and other liability-related matters. Location:

Duties:

• Represent insurance companies in a variety of civil litigation matters, including:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Contract disputes

  • Negligent security

  • Liquor liability

• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Conduct legal research and case analysis

• Participate in all phases of litigation, from case preparation through trial

• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop legal strategy

• Manage caseloads independently while adhering to deadlines and best practices

• Maintain professional client relationships and provide timely updates

• Stay current on changes in relevant laws and litigation trends

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation

• Trial experience required

• Strong legal writing and research skills

• Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Self-motivated and team-oriented

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania
