Job Overview
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience to join its Pittsburgh office. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters with direct client interaction and meaningful responsibility. Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Assist in trial preparation and provide in-court support

  • Manage filings with both state and federal courts

  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and motions

  • Maintain timely and professional communication with clients and colleagues

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and case development

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in civil litigation

  • Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and written discovery

  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures

  • Willingness to travel for court appearances

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania (required)

  • Admission in West Virginia and/or Ohio is a plus

Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
