A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney to handle complex civil litigation matters, focusing on employment litigation. The candidate will provide legal representation, assess facts and issues, and participate in industry organizations to enhance the firm's visibility. The position requires an active California Bar license, strong analytical and writing skills, and 1-3 years of attorney experience. Preferred qualifications include experience in employment law and/or employment litigation.

Duties:

  • Handle various complex civil litigation matters, specializing in employment litigation.
  • Provide legal representation to clients, assessing facts and issues, and offering appropriate counseling.
  • Engage in litigation defense or prosecution of civil claims.
  • Respond to client concerns to increase and retain business.
  • Participate in industry organizations and affiliated committees to enhance the firm's visibility.
  • Represent the firm internally and externally.
  • Make court appearances and attend meetings in Los Angeles County.
  • Handle other duties as needed to support legal and management goals.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree and an active California Bar license.
  • Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • 1-3 years of attorney experience.
  • Experience in employment law and/or employment litigation is preferred.
  • Experience with ProLaw or other billing and document management programs is desired.
