Blank Rome Adds to Pittsburgh’s Corporate Group
Summary: Blank Rome is continuing to add to its Pittsburgh office and corporate group with a new Of Counsel attorney.

Edwards joins Blank Rome from Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. He will continue to focus on general corporate matters and securities law. He advises clients with the formation of corporate entities and counsels them on corporate governance issues. This has included in the purchase and sale of their business, as well as the growth and expansion of those businesses. Edwards has unique experience that adds to his ability to serve clients. He was a business owner himself before becoming an attorney.
He also has experience in the sports industry, advising players with the National Football Leagues in contract negotiations, litigation and client counseling. He has worked with athletes and management companies in other sports areas in addition to working as legal counsel for top entertainment companies.
Edwards received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
He currently serves on the board of directors for the First National Bank Community Board, the Pittsburgh Film Office, and for Project Eviive where he is co-chair of the board. He is on the Ball Committee for Orange Arrow, a nonprofit organization that helps young student-athletes succeed off the field. He is a former member of the board of directors for the Port Authority of Allegheny County and a former member of the Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
