DLA Piper Adds to Corporate Practice in San Diego
Summary: The San Diego Corporate practice for DLA Piper strengthened its numbers with the addition of partner Michael Brown.
DLA Piper welcomed a new partner to their San Diego Corporate team. Michael Brown will join the Corporate practice as a partner. He will focus his work on representing emerging companies, financial institutions, and public companies in private placements of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and corporate governance and securities law compliance matters.

DLA Piper’s US Chair of the Corporate Practice John Gilluly said, “Michael is an excellent lawyer and counselor to his clients with significant expertise in emerging growth, M&A and securities. He is a great addition to our growing West Coast practice and will be a tremendous resource for clients.”
Brown joins from Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth where he was a partner. He has developed over the years an expansive knowledge base in several industries, including medical device, life science, communications, technology, healthcare, retail, and education.
Managing partner of the San Diego office Troy Zander said, “Southern California, particularly San Diego, is a booming market for emerging growth companies, in particular in the life science, technology and healthcare sectors.
