Juris Doctor, Columbia Law School
Bachelor of Arts, Duke University

Nadeen Weybrecht is one of BCG’s most versatile legal recruiters. With expertise in the legal markets of the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast, she regularly places candidates in large, mid-sized and small firms throughout those regions, including in New York; Boston; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore; and Charlotte.

Ms. Weybrecht decided to become a lawyer when she was just seven years old, after witnessing what she perceived to be an injustice. Her passion to help people and make a difference inspired her to go to law school, to select certain kinds of legal jobs, and to become a BCG legal recruiter.

She went to college at Duke University, where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and earned a place on the Dean’s List with Distinction every semester. She majored in English and maintains a fondness for the works of Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, and other British authors. She earned a minor in Spanish and speaks Spanish in addition to Arabic.

Then it was on to Columbia Law School, where she was Development Editor for the Columbia Business Law Review and received the Grant Scholarship for Academic Excellence among other honors. She was a summer associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Los Angeles, Vinson & Elkins in Houston, and Locke Liddell & Sapp in Houston.

Her first job out of law school was with Baker & Botts, as a corporate associate handling public offerings, private placements, and oil and gas transactions. She enjoyed certain aspects of the firm, especially the excellent training and the people she worked with, but when it came to the substantive work she wanted to feel more of a connection to real people and not just focus on abstract corporate and financial transactions.

So she made a lateral move to the business immigration firm of Foster Quan in Houston, where she counseled clients on immigration and employment law issues. She found the work gratifying because it involved the lives of actual individuals and their families.

After her attorney career, she learned of an opportunity with BCG and decided to give recruiting a try. She took to the work immediately and feels it is the perfect fit because it allows her to help people and also make use of her real world experience in the legal industry. She becomes heavily invested in her clients – often losing sleep as she turns over the nuances of placement transactions in her head – and she feels great satisfaction when she is able to guide fellow lawyers towards more fulfilling professional and personal lives.

Ms. Weybrecht loves to travel, especially to vibrant urban centers like London and Cairo, and to places with good food and scenery, like Italy and Mexico. She and her husband, also an attorney, live with their daughter in the Northern Virginia area. In their free time, the family enjoys going to the theater and the beach, playing sports, and watching Duke basketball.
